One of my first decks that I built myself. It all started with "Champion of the Parish", "Thraben Doomsayer", "Mentor of the Meek" and some more humans from the first Innistrad block, later some other humans where added. Surprisingly often I ended up finishing with a single creature, enchanted with "Call to Serve" so I threw in some more cards to make single attackers stronger: "Bonds of Faith" (versatile, can also serve as control spell), "Silverblade Paladin" and "Hero of Bladehold". The draw-engine with "Mentor of the Meek" and "Thraben Doomsayer" also saved me more than once so I kept it. I own all those cards and I have played this deck many times, some times even on our local (starter)tournament. I'm open to all suggestions and ideas that may help to further improve this deck.
The deck is based around "Champion of the Parish""Call to Serve" and "Silverblade Paladin" convert any weak human into a flying double-striking monster. This can be further enhanced if you play "Bonds of Faith" and this creature, if you don't need it to keep an opponent's creature at bay. The draw-engine around "Mentor of the Meek" and "Thraben Doomsayer" does a pretty good job in longer games, beside "Thraben Doomsayer" also triggers "Champion of the Parish"/ "Thalia's Lieutenant" ability. The sideboard choices are mostly against token decks and enemy's with a high number of spot removal. "Leyline of Sanctity" can help against pretty anything targeting you as player.
