Basic IdeaMadness and Hellbent seemed to be a good combination to me, so I decided to mix it into a pauper deck and give it a try. The deck got nearly completely turned upside down, after some testgames. It turned from Golgari (B/G) into mono black and the Hellbent part was trashed in favour of the Treshold mechanic. TestsI have tested this deck against other pauper decks. The decks I tested against are a mixture of Control and Aggro and the result are recorded in a spreadsheet. If you're interested in details from the spreadsheet, feel free to ask. Conclusion from the testsThe deck is far less explosive and aggressive than I planed for, tough it still can be fun to play. Going from an empty battlefield, with just a [[Hell Mongrel]] or [[Putrid Imp]], into full attack with 4+ creatures, takes no time at all. I'm open to all suggestions and ideas that may help to improve this deck.
[[Putrid Imp]] and [[Cabal Initiate]] are your main creatures, that let you discard stuff, to activate the madness-costs. [[Brain Gorgers]] is either an offensive creature, or force your opponent to sacrifice a creature to avoid a 4/2 attacking him. Counting this creature, you have 12 removals, and if your opponent simply can't sacrifice a creature, you have a 4/2 for 2 mana without any opposition. [[Gorgon Recluse]] is quite the opposite. but has a power of it's own nevertheless.
