Krenko stood with his back to a large rock. "So you think you've got me cornered" he said with a sly grin. "Well think again" he said while reaching for a small horn. Some seconds later the fight, that started 10 to 1, ended in a massacre. Krenko now sat atop of the rock and watched while his allies did the work for him. My girlfriend once tried a goblin commander deck played by a friend and was really happy with it. I tried to built my own version and this is what I came up with. "Krenko, Mob Boss" cries for some untap features like "Thornbite Staff" as well as some mass-pump like "Shared Animosity".The creature-side was also filled up rather fast though I did use a creature that I seldom see on Goblin Commander Decks: "Goblin Assassin"Last I looked for some protective spells as Krenko, like any other good commander, has 'Kill me' written in big letters all over his head. Things like "Champion's Helm" do a good job protecting him, "Swiftfoot Boots" can also protect other key-creatures you might have on the field. This deck keeps evolving with almost every new commander-deck I look into and with every game she takes. I'm open to all suggestions and ideas that may help to further improve this deck.
Mass-beatdown deck, built around Krenkos ability to double the number of your goblins on the battlefield. The key-creature of this deck is it's commander: Krenko. If your opponents don't manage to get rid of him as soon as possible the situation will get rather nasty for them. "Illusionist's Bracers", "Magewright's Stone", "Thousand-Year Elixir" and "Thornbite Staff" allow you to untap Krenko and use his ability again or to copy it. "Goblin Assassin" is an interesting mass removal, because the only thing you can loose are some tokens, which you will be able to produce again next turn. If you don't need him any more he can be sacrificed for his own ability. "Skirk Prospector", "Thornbite Staff" and "Krenko, Mob Boss" enable you to produce infinite tokens and mana. Combined with haste there's nearly nothing you opponent can do against that mass of goblins.
