This version of stax trades out a Trinisphere for Life from the loam and an extra sylvan library.I like this version a lot and out of all my stax attempts this is version... 17. But only version 3 of all the junk stax decks I have posted so far. This version of stax isnt about mana cost control like the other one was, which it did so by focusing on destroying permanents and using trinisphere. This is a list that I think is a more go big or go home version that can have control over what you have and when. With lots of neat tricks with dredge and draw effects you can have a lot of impact early on and can get a lock very early on.Early testing so far has been against the Canadian Threshold list by Jacob Wilson. So far I am liking the results. It can handle a slew of counterspells and very aggresive creatures and burn effectively. Myself going down to about 8 before stabilizing with a smokestack and multiple flagstones. As for the sideboard and odd choices like Jotun Grunts and Golgari Charms. Jotun Grunt is a really fun card against graveyard strategies, and as a 4/4 for 2 he can win fights with a goyf very early on and most definitly later on as you gut yards and goyf's power. Golgari Charm is a multifaceted device I actually replaced krosan grip for. It doesnt handle Jitte or Batterskull which is the one reason I dont like it however what I do like about it is that I can save a crucial swing with Terravore and also have more luck against lingering souls, which this deck has a tough time dealing with.Trying something different with harder yard hate and wraths.
