Well this is awkward...What happens when in modern we want to tron our pod into landfall from the scapeshift? We get fun of course!Watch in horror as your opponents wonder just what went wrong when on turn 5 you just happened to scapeshift with ob nixilis and drain them for 18 life.Watch in horror!Other things you can dodrop one shot robot earlier than you are supposed tocascade into everything and everythingeternal witness for rediculous board statesdrop all your lands!Ramp like crazy!win games!
Lets get specific about thisYour starting hand basically can dictate how the game is going to go. A deck like this basically aims to ignore the opponent (for the most part) and win games. That being said we still have our disruption pieces such Glen Elandra, Deny Reality, and Karn that can help us along. The goal is to get as many pieces onto the field as possible, your combo happens on the battlefield almost all the time, whether it be full urza lands (to bring out a t3 karn) an early birthing pod into a ghast or scapeshifting with ob nixilis out. You have plenty of options and neither combo steps on the toes of the others. It might seem like this deck has three goals, but in reality it has one goal, which is to rush out as many combos as possible. The sideboard allows for more reactive play.
