haha of course and my other decks follow this "rule" a little better, this is almost a nostalgic deck in my defense (its retained almost all its shape from 9 years ago when this deck was made and I haven't bothered to improve it), great forum though you linked me to, had some great points made in there

seems like you have the creature control part down. You might want to consider speeding the deck up by adding more land and taking a couple top heavy cards out (mind control for example). If you like the control aspect, find some red cards that can compliment that such as act of treason or mark of mutiny which are good red control cards. Also consider adding a couple counterspells (better than cancel) or mana leaks to help maintain the combo setup. It only takes one wrath of god or damnation to screw everything up. I would consider taking out irrelevant cards to (dragonwhelp, errant minion). A few ponder or preordain might help speed it up to with drawing, putting a quicksilver dagger to your gelectrode might help to. I know your on a budget and hopefully some of the things I said can help. Good luck and keep the red blue control burn alive!

Nice deck! I like the combo to keep get ride of the suspend counters quickly. While I haven't played this and can't say from experience whether it will play well, I'd imagine it would play pretty well. Maybe a slight overkill on the suspend counter removal, but it's hard to tell. And maybe you should run a counterspell instead of cancel (one less mana, same ability) and a mana leak instead of deprive (I find that possibly forcing my opponent to tap three extra mana is worth the drawback and much more preferable to returning my own land). Again, great deck! Maybe a few more lands to make it a little more playable, can never have too much extra land to cast those interrupts.

First off, love the name haha. I love red/blue decks (using the control burn combo). I would recommend trying to focus the deck more, too many cards that do too many things doesn't leave you with much consistency. I'm just going out on a limb here, but you probably don't have too many cards and are using what you have which you might want to look into. There are plenty of places (especially online) to find those extra commons that may make or break your deck. Another thing is land, why use simic growth chamber when you don't need that forest? Also as a rule a thumb, it's always good to keep at minimum a third of your deck lands so in this case 20 (which I still find low). Plus a lot of your lands come in tapped (I can see you making the amulet of vigor case here, but what if you dont draw it?).

So, I would recommend trying to find sets of 4 cards that you want to build your deck around and work with that. And definitely fix the land issue, adding in 4-6 lands could make your deck a lot more playable. Hopefully this helps, happy deck building.

OH almost forgot, terramorphics are nice....but I never enjoyed running them, they take up a mana producing land.

I was thinking about it, but not only don't I have that many (probably easy to come by), I liked banefire's ability to be tough to deal with. Thanks though!

Nice deck, always good to see some of the older mechanics reused. Proliferate is a great idea to, maybe throw in a contagion clasp or contagion engine? Also, prismatic omen is a nice enchantment very similar to joiner adept. For shits and giggles, doubling season + solarian = big creature.

Some possible creatures you might consider are indestructible creatures (darksteel myr instead of glittering lion, the myr has the plus side of being indestructaible without the drawbacks the lion has, though it does have no power). White also has some great enchantments such as ghostly prison (mentioned above), lightmine field, porphyry nodes, leylines of sanctity, and more too add. Nice deck though!

haha you were right about our decks being similar, and I would recommend dawn charm. It's so versatile that the extra one mana cost is way worth the gains. And how does that endless horizons work? I would use the card in my deck, but I don't own it. Again, thanks for the comment and input.

Actually, I used to have two enchantress's presence in my deck instead of wheel of sun and moon (which was great), but the group of people I play with run a lot of discard and mill decks which led to me swapping it out. I should add it to the sideboard which I still need to develop. Thanks for the input!

how about a contagion engine? It's a hefty six to get out....but the double proliferate is definitely worth it. And to work with your genesis wave, maybe a sun of the wheel and moon? Overall really like the saproling token concept, it's very focused which is good. I do think the sprout(s) could be gotten rid of, your creatures take care of a lot of token production. I'll prolly come back to comment again when I'm more awake since I really like the deck.

Wow, you work quick with an idea haha. I love token decks too, I might take a stab at that mycolith, I really like that card. I will say one thing, lots of different tokens. Maybe add a Glare of Subdual to tie a lot of tokens together and maybe glorious anthem instead of shared triumph. I feel the extra mana might be worth all your creatures. Again, thanks for the comment! Happy deck building.

Yeah, I remember finding sterling grove when Invasion first came out and thought nothing of it (my scope was pretty narrow back then...big creatures was all I could comprehend haha). And thanks for the comment!! Inspiration is what this game is about.
