Deck Description

Woo loop hole in the system and well unfortunately for all your EDH friends not playing this, this is actually legal and not banned to do hehe

How to Play

Use the little rats to sacrifice to Marrow-Gnawers ability to start up a 1/1 rat engine and pound with the relentless rats. Thrumming stone is an end game, often you'll play one relentless rat and hit at least two to three more, so your paying three mana for three to five rats. Once you hit six lands you really don't need anymore so usually you can toss the rest to pack rat. Also if someone wants to find a good black/white commander for this you could put gnawer in it and put in immortal servitude to bring back all your rats

Deck discussion for Marrow-Gnawers Rat Armageddon

I have been playing Marrow-Gnawer/ Relentless Rats EDH for about 2 years and love the deck. It has a great early game and can catch many opponents while they are still trying to establish board position. The downside of the deck is that you become the immediate target in multiplayer. Here are a few cards you might want to add to make your deck stronger and more resiliant. Cabal Coffers, Sol Ring, Patriarch's Bidding, Grave Pact, Nevinyrral's Disk, Syphon Mind, Shred Memory - tutor for Lightning Greaves/Swiftfoot Boots, Diabolic Tutor( any black Tutor effect), Loxodon Warhammer,, and Brainspoil to tutor out Thrumming Stone. Also I run about 4 or 5 targeted elimination to handle problem creatires - Doom Blade, Dismember, Brittle Effigy etc. There are a lot of other mini-combos and ways you can shape the deck to give it other back up themes -Black Land Destruction, Sacrifice/Reanimation, but playing it straight aggro is a good and fun way to win. Hope some of this is helpful. Enjoy the deck.

Thanks that helped a lot, after our FNMs a lot of us stay and play EDH and if I play my Omnath deck I live awhile and/or win but if I play this they just target me straight off because the one time they let me live they were obliterated

With this deck you are always the bullseye. Beseech the Queen is another inexpensive tutoe for this deck and Greed is a good card draw mechanism.

Thrumming stone is better than you suggest. Every time it 'succeeds' in finding a relentless rat (which you may play for no cost), that new rat counts as a played spell as well, re-triggering the stone's ripple effect. We're not talking 3-5 rats, thrumming stone basically clears your whole deck of relentless rats and spews them into the field for free. so that's 56x 57/57 rats for 3 mana.
