Infect, Proliferate, Repeat. Simple as that. I intended to make a nice disease spreading black infection deck, but realized I had so many green and blue infect or proliferate cards, that I had no choice but to make it tricolor.I started by collecting all my infect and poison generating creatures...then tossed those that were either less effective or less efficient. Despite having a handful of older poison generating creatures...most of them either had too high casting cost for what you get, or just weren't as good as newer infect creatures...after all, those older cards only spread poison, they don't weaken enemy creatures. Of the older ones, I only kept my two Marsh Vipers, as one hit from them gives my opponent TWO poison counters.I just bought a pack yesterday that had another Hand of the Praetors...giving me three for this deck, that improves my creatures dramatically. Almost every creature in the deck has infect, the others: the Marsh Vipers just give poison; the Mycosyth Fiends get +1/+1 for each poison counter my opponent has; the Skinrender puts 3 -1/-1 counters on a creature when it comes into play; and the Thrummingbirds proliferate when they hit an opponent. The two artifacts in the deck both give -1/-1 counters and proliferate, aiding the creature removal of my creatures. The Corrupted Conscience steals an opponent's creature and gives it infect...bang. And inexorable tide spreads the love by proliferating every time I cast a spell...bang-bang!Most of the instants and the sorcery proliferate, but I also have a few Giant Growth spells just as a surprise...trapping a big creature into blocking one of my weak creatures just to give it a huge heaping pile of -1/-1 counters.
Infect, Proliferate, Repeat. Simple as that. Creatures will die slow painful deaths, and poison should finish off any opponent...it should be easier to give 10 poison counters than take 20 life afterall.
