The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

All cards begin with the letter...CStill working on it. I started by putting all the "C" land in the deck to see where I should start building...which color would work. I like black decks, and there was plenty of black generating lands...so next I searched for every black "C" card, looked them over, added any I thought I might use; next all the "C" artifacts. I had maybe 250 cards to start working with, multiplying ones I really wanted, and eliminated ones that either wouldn't work, or caused too many problems, or were just too expensive to keep. Now I'm down to 120 some cards in the deck. Then I started reducing numbers (from 4 to 2, 3 to 1 copy) and pulling cards from the play deck to the sideboard. Now I'm under 90. Now it's REALLY tough to trim the fat.1) Mana production is nice, plenty of mana generating artifacts to supplement my lands which aren't ideal mana producers2) I really like the corruption, contagion, contamination effects...not only do they all begin with "C", but they make the deck look like an actual themed deck.3) Plenty of cheap creatures, I tossed most of the high cost ones. The only BIG HITTING creatures I have left are Cairn Wanderer (who still has pleny of benefits from my other creature abilities), Carrion Wurm, Greven & Crovax. As I trim down creatures, I'll probably have to drop the Cairn Wanderer. (Now in the sideboard)4) I have to evaluate which enchantments & spells are crucial to success, which ones are often beneficial, and which ones are less effective or less needed.2-5-2013 - trimmed the play deck by shifting many cards to the sideboard. Still need to go over the cards to see what's essential, and what's filler. I should note, that I don't own most of these cards, this is a fantasy deck.

3-19-13 I just noticed that I do have the land available to utilize both blue & red as well...I might have to sample a few of those colors as well. I don't think I have enough mana generation to utilize single color spells, but I might be able to find some multi-color spells to supplement what I have.
