Misty Rainforest is useless... you have no Islands or Forests in your deck...

just a fetch to get any land out ^^but yeah, i'll put those in
Misty Rainforest only fetches lands with the type Island or Forest. You should look at the shock lands. As for fetching... Dawntreader Elk, Gatecreeper Vines, and half a dozen or so other creatures are better. Misty Rainforest doesn't even tap for mana.
are you really serious? ^^ worthless creatures in an oath deck? :Dthey only search for BASIC lands... this is vintage...btw, you DO know that tropical island and undergound sea both count as islands..? it does tap for mana (kinda), you pay 1 life, get the dual land or basic you need, thinning out the deck...
I've never played with such old cards. Not lands at least. You'll have to excuse me while I go and beat a couple people's heads in. That was my mistake and one I should have checked with a couple other people before posting. Aside from that... I still don't like fetch lands that cost life...
thats not a problem, i just didn't think that you'd leave a comment on this deck if you dont know what the deck is trying to do and how.oath tries to bring in creatures without paying for them. so, we'd rather look for big, expensive creatures, that win the game very fast than creatures that search for basic lands... aside from that, i only really need 2 lands in play to win, so thats not important to me. since this deck needs this one card to win (oath of druids), i'd rather thin out my deck to get to this card faster (or cards that help me finding it).yes, i understand you.its really hard to explain why but life isn't as important in the older formants. it's like an investment you know... for example, there is a card that lets you draw four cards, while you have to pay half of your life (and 3 black)^^ but in a particular deck it's exactly what you're looking for.
I knew what it was trying to do but I conferred with a couple friends who have been playing longer then me. Anyway, nice deck. I just built an edh based on that using mayael the anima.
