Well, now that there are a bunch of new Angels out in Avacyn Restored, I thought I'd try and include a few. As with my other Angel deck, the focus here is getting those big, scary legendary angels out as fast as possible using a combination of Sol Rings and Quicksilver Amulets.
The previous deck was mono white, and it was pretty fun to use. I've had some good luck in the past where I was able to lead off with a Plains and two Sol Rings on turn one, followed by a Quicksilver Amulet on turn two, and Iona on turn three. Obviously, it's not the most reliable, but it is a blast when it works, especially against mono decks.
I'd like to point out that I won't be using this deck 'competitively'. I mostly play against friends, so, for me, it's more just a matter of using my favorite creatures to beat up on other non-competitive decks. Still! Any tips on how to make the deck faster or more effective would be great.
A few things:
1) I'd like to keep the creatures to mostly angels. It's like a theme thing for me.
2) I've kept it mono-white so far. I've got some multi-colored angels in there now, but, I was planning to use Quicksilver to get them out. Maybe too unreliable?
3) Early game, the removal spells have been treating me pretty well, but, maybe there are some better choices?
4) I've been having trouble keeping this deck to 60 cards. Too many good angels out there! Plus, running so many big ones, they need a lot of support to make them work.
So, here we go! Any tips and such to improve things are appreciated!
Still to be added -
2x Avacyn, Angel of Hope
2x Gisela, Blade of the Goldnight
2x Sigarda, Host of Herons
Some cards I'm considering:
Pearl Medallion
Emeria, the Sky Ruin
