Deck Description

Amazing combo deck that I saw win an extended tournament not too long ago. I didn't copy his entire deck because I didn't see the whole thing, but I also don't take credit for the combo.

I've seen this combo happen on turn 2 and turn 3 two games in a row. Like I said, the guy playing it got first place in the extended tournament I was at.

Deck discussion for Pact of Hive Mind

so the plan is to get get out hive mind then make your opponent copy a pact, then lose cuz they cant pay the upkeep. i posted that for me to think it through and so others can see. If thats the plan, thats pretty BA. +1 for posting it though you didnt come up with the actual idea. maybe add gamble if you find yourself not drawing the right cards (eh, its a risk, just a thought). sweet idea. : )

Thanks hipponox :). Yea you got the strategy right. There's maybe 1 card that I can think of that counters the combo, and that's Magosi (tap and skip your turn). You can't even cast Negate to cancel their pact... Hive Mind would force your opponent to copy your Negate, allowing them to counter your first Negate. It's a tricky thing to get around Lol.

No, I didn't come up with it, but I thought the combo was amazing so I made my own version of it Lol. I make sure to let people know when I didn't think of the combos myself.

Hehe thanks :D. I wish the Pacts weren't like $5 each or I'd make this deck for an upcoming extended game.

wow. i just had this idea like, 10 min ago about making a hive/pact deck that forces your opponent to kill themself, although to avoid getting caught with this being used against you, u could put in a card that skips your upkeep turn, i know one exists, just cant think of it at the moment.
anyways, do u remember exactly how he was able to pull this by turn 2 or three??? thats incredible!!!
i was thinking running it straight blue mana, and having all of the different kinds of pacts in it, cuz technially, they only cost 0 (lol), and then if u r caught with them coming back to bite you, then u can use the card that skips your upkeep turn. its not perfect, but its pretty damn close.
the thing is, Hive mind costs 6!!!!! how was he able to play it soo fast?? also, r there any other cards that act like Hive Mind, forcing a spell onto your opponents battlefield?

thanks!!
