A dredge deck that works in modern, yaaaay! Thank goodness for Necrotic Ooze. It uses a few spoiled cards from innistrad that i've proxied with similar cards that already exist, as noted below. Lands are placeholders for a mana base to be determined later. Merfolk Looter = Civilized Scholar Comet Storm = Devil's Play Combo: Necrotic Ooze with Golgari Brownscale + Civilized Scholar in the graveyard. 1) Using Necrotic Ooze, activate the Scholar's ability, then use the dredge of the Brownscale to mill 2 and gain 2 life. Then, discard the Brownscale to the Scholar's ability. This untaps the Ooze, but doesn't transform it since it isn't a mill card. 2) Repeat step 1 until you've milled the majority of your deck. In doing so, you should have put 4 Narcomebas into play. At this point, you have multiple win conditions depending on the board state. You could: 1) Necrotic Ooze with Pili-Pala and Palladium Myr for infinite mana, then flashback Devil's Play 2) Use the above infinite mana combo, then use Brion Stoutart + Pili-Pala to throw your Narcomebas + Zombie tokens put into play with Bridge from Below for 36 total direct damage 3) Necrotic Ooze to use the ability of Phyrexian Plaugelord to sacrifice the narcomebas, then give all of the zombies haste with Crimson Mage's ability to attack for 32 Versatile! The only problem is the reliance on the Ooze to win, since without the Ooze it's just a bad Dredge deck lacking the combos it needs to be fast.
