To whom it may concern: Just throwin out there that there've been two new potential candidates for this deck, Clackbridge Troll and Grismold, the Dreadsower. I think I'm gonna try out 2 Grismolds instead of the 2 Hunted Trolls. Clackbridge Troll would be nice but with CMC of 5 it's a bit more expensive than the rest of the deck. Anyone have any input on that?

Hey there! Just saw your comment today. Thanks for checking this deck out. Steal and sac is a lot of fun, hehehe. ;)
I dunno about Corrupted Conscience, it's not bad but might be slower than I want. I'll keep it in mind though! As for Greater Good, man, I'm so torn about this card. The card draw is incredible but discard three every time? In a deck with no graveyard synergy? Aaaagh, I'd love having it in and work but as I said, I'm torn.

As you mentioned them, I'm actually currently considering adding an altar (Ashnod, Phyrexian, Dementia) to have another sac outlet. I'm leaning to one of the mana ones. Do you have any input on that?

I'm also going to find a place for Reins of Power. Upon reading the card a few more times I think it's actually really awesome for the deck! Also, the new Thassa replaces the Nephalian Smuggler for a bit of nice redundancy of Conjurer's Closet's ability.

Cheers,
Morty

Great is the weapon that cuts on its own.

Could "Invasion Plans" be viable in this?

Thalia, Heretic Cathar and Blind Obedience help in slowing your opponent down and getting through with your creatures. :)

Are you playing multiplayer Commander as well or are you more into other multiplayer formats (like Pentagram that you mentioned in the other decklist)?

Oh, wow, really, they can still attack you if they are forced? That's harsh. In that case I wouldn't use it as well.

Check out the newly spoiled Trove of Temptation from Ixalan. Could maybe fit in this deck.

Hm, I think you won't get a lot of mileage out of those Wildfire Eternals with only 12 super-cheap sorceries/instants. Wildfire is especially awesome when you can cast more expensive stuff with it (like Time Warp for example).
Neheb also potentially likes x-spells like Fall of the Titans, Rolling Thunder and such. They're not so great with Wildfire, though.

Orrr - since most of the deck is very aggressive (Afflict, Throne) - you take out Nicol Bolas and maybe Serum Visions for more creatures and burn spells (Kolaghans Command is very versatile) but that would diminish the awesome theme you got going here, hmmm...

Gudul Lurker is a potential upgrade for Triton Shorestalker.

Distortion Strike can be better than Artful Dodge if you want that extra damage and Rebound instead of Flashback.

Hm, I dunno about Angel Strumpet. Yes, it forces attacks but it also taps creatures which leads to fewer blocks (and you wanna play the mindgame of block/don't-block from what I gathered). It's more build-around for sure.

Btw: The C17 cards are in, you can add Disrupt Decorum now.

Eight... more... cards... cutting favorites sure is exhausting.
Thanks for your guidelines! That started "The Culling". For the last eight cards would you help me again evaluate what can be cut? For example, I'm not sure how many sacrifice outlets I really need, maybe there's some room for cards to take out.
Any particular reason you'd recommend cutting Feed the Pack btw?

Real shame about that Gilded Drake. Playing it, stealing smth, stealing it back with Yasova, flickering it and stealing smth again looked like fun. :(
Also, cutting the two mana dorks, good idea because low impact anyway, or bad because no mana dorks?

Hey there,
I'm only active here sporadically, so it won't do much to put down my details atm but I still try to help out when I can.

If it's fine and all I'd be truly happy if someone took a look at my Yasova EDH deck in the making. I have trouble cutting 25 cards and could really use some input.

If you use the Cryptolith Rites generating red or black mana for a finisher is no problem at all. And when you're generating "infinite" mana no amount of choice can save your opponent from Torment of Hailfire. They'll lose. At some point - when they have discarded all their cards and sacrificed all nonland permanents - they HAVE to lose life. :D

Your combo works, the problem is just how to reliably assemble all the pieces since they're so many. For artifacts Glint-Nest Crane comes to mind. Traverse the Ulvenwald can get you creatures.

I think splashing for Samut or Bloodlust Inciter defeats the original purpose of the deck. You want to get infinite-mana and kill someone with that. Those cards don't help with that.

If you're playing this just for fun with friends or at FNM, I'd say go for the old version, maybe add some more finishers and surprise your opponents with a janky infinite-mana-kill. :)

If you want competitive, it's a bit harder to make it work. There are other infinite-mana combos in Standard that work better. Something with Eldrazi Deceiver and Panharmonicon and some scion token generator.
Or you can check out this list that already uses some of the cards you chose.

That combo seems pretty unreliable to me. You need at least three creatures without summoning sickness plus two Aviary Mechanics, Paradox Engine, Cryptolith Rite and a win-condition, i.e. Walking Ballista. That's eight pieces or am I not seeing something? Does this work reliably?
How about other/more payoffs like X-damage spells? Burn From Within and Fall of the Titans are still in Standard.
Torment of Hailfire would work as finisher as well. Liliana's Indignation, too, but only if there are still enough creatures in your library.

Hi there. Yup, they reworked the phasing rule with C17's release. Tokens don't cease to exist when phasing out.

Yeah, I think Sunhome (and Slayers' Hold) are very solid additions to the deck. Especially in multiplayer were you can help out a partner or use them kinda politically.

Also, two more enchantments popped into mind. Just food for thought. :)
Grand Melee - Everything attacks if able, everything blocks if able
Brave the sands - your stuff has vigilance and can block an additional creature

Disclaimer on Teferi's Protection: I'm not entirely sure if this works how I intended. I know that your own creatures are actually removed from combat by phasing out. What I don't know is, whether the opponents' creatures are still considered blocking (if you're the attacker; if you're blocking the opponents' creatures are clearly blocked). Any idea?

Well, if you're not that into equipments for this deck, what about Provoke? With Deftblade Elite you can choose which creature blocks it if you wanna destroy something specific.

Oh. I didn't notice that "random" on Surreal Memoir, hmmm. I think a 1-of Boros Charm would still be good, especially since you're a mini-toolbox with Sunforger.

Generally - but that's getting more complicated - it would be great to give your creatures first/double-strike and trample, so that you can deal damage and still play Fight to the Death afterwards. Wait, now that I think about it, Trample alone does suffice, since creatures are still considered "attacking" and "blocking" in the end of combat step after damage. So maybe the Two-Headed Giant would actually be better suited here. Ha, never knew that the format was named after a specific card, interesting!

Also, I found some more cards that might interest you. Spear of Heliod pumps all your creatures and helps remove your opponents', Heat Stroke is basically "Fight to the Death - The Enchantment" and Tide of War adds a little bit of chaos to the game if you like that. Heat Stroke has the same drawback as Fight to the Death in 2on2, though, also hitting your partners creatures.

Also, for the landbase, I think it's safe to add a few Sunhome, Fortress of the Legion. Fits the theme and gives double strike which would be especially great with Two-Headed Giant. Other nice utility lands are Kor Haven (less on theme, though) and Slayers' Stronghold. With these lands you can also help out your partner in 2on2.

Overall, I like the two Goblin Assaults least (seems like an all-in, 4-of card to me), so I'd probably take those out and one Guardian and put in a Boros Charm and 2 Two-Headed Giants. Also, a few of the utility lands.

Oooohh, BONUS thought: Since you're already adding Disrupt Decorum from the new Commander set, what about Teferi's Protection? Cast it in response to Fight to the Death and save all your creatures. Also, fetchable by Sunforger.

Have you had a chance to test the deck yet?

How about something to make the block/no-bloack decision harder? Like equipments? Nemesis Mask, Quietus Spike, Rogue's Gloves, Infiltration Lens or something like those.
The Hundred-Handed One also has that block-multiple ability once it's monstrous, it's also a nice attacker.
Boros Charm or Valorous Stance seem very useful when you actualyl don't want a certain creature of yours to die. Both also work well with Sunforger.
