Designed to be a surveil/self mill, Nicol-Jace combo deck. In this deck drawing and discarding is your best friend to get the Nicol-Jace combo quickly, but for a solid backup there is Jace Wielder to instawin, so mill away!

Very nice! I'm always looking at ideas for this Bolas for when I get myself a copy

Thanks fellow Vault user!
I was wondering about those Price of Fame, how mush surveil is worth compare to the remove planeswalker clause on Vraska's contempt (VC) ?you seem to surveil a lot already, a good back-up plan like VC for mid-game removal would maybe be a nice upgrade, without touching a lot the surveil mecanic.otherwise, this will be a lot of fun : the Jace-Bolas combo is realy nasty !!
Ahh thanks I never really thought of that, thanks for the advice.
Why did you include the four etrata in the deck? Just looking at it they don't seem to be doing a ton but I am sure you have a reason for being there. If did you consider something like nightveil spectre instead?
So as far as I know nightveil specter is not standard, so that is why I dont have it in, but would probably do decent in this deck, One of the win conditions of this deck (in my mind) is etrata because of her ability and with the constant surveiling the likely-hood of getting her out over and over again is pretty high.
Your right it is not I was thinking of predator not spectre.
That I can see making more sense, the idea of the deck is centered around the surveiling to get out bolas and jace (or etrata) quickly. Nightveil predator is not inherently a bad card but I dont see how this specific creature benefits in this deck. If you do have an idea would you mind explaining it, I am genuinely curious and open to edits and ideas.
I was just thinking that it makes a solid stall card between the hexproof and death touch. Etrata is good at keeping a board clear with the ability but is soft to hexproof on their side. So when I saw it I was thinking that the predator may be better at slowing the game down to get the jace and bolas off. If etrata is a win condition and a way to slow the game down it works well though.
Ok cool, makes sense and thanks for the idea.
No problem I like the deck and the plan.
