The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Im working on creating a Golgari Midrange deck that isnt heavily focused on the graveyard. Would really appreciate tips and/or card recommendations. Trying to lower the price a bit as well.

May I ask what the theme of this deck is? I want to help, but what are you trying to do?

So the idea is Golgari midrange, being able to play early as well as late game effectively. I may or may not have done the best with doing that but the way I see it is, keep the opponent's board state very small then be able to smash face with phyrexian obliterator and others i.e. muderous rider and blood soaked champion. Not sure if this helps but Ill try to clarify more if need be.
Personally I would throw replace murderous rider with hero's downfall, to avoid paying life. I also like to use walk the plank and victim of night for they're cheap prices. My Orzhov Exile deck has a good list of black destroy spells if you need more. You might also consider dread return for cheap ressurection to the battlefield.Just some suggestions.
thanks Ill look into those
So I thought about it and one thing I wanted to point out that Im not sure if you noticed or not but Murderous Rider can act both as removal and a creature on turn 3 whereas hero's downfall is only removal. So in hindsight I could use murderous rider as either based on what the current board state is.
I would think about abrupt decay for a good destroy spell, and for a finisher I really like wurmcoil engine. The talisman doesn't really make sense, since this isn't really a combo deck. I have a similar deck that works pretty well, I'll put the link here if you want to get some ideas. Just some suggestionshttps://www.mtgvault.com/oscmex/decks/destroy/
You make a good point about the talisman, The only downside of Abrupt Decay is that it's limited to 3 or less CMC. But that gave me the idea that I can mainboard abrupt decays and have other types of permanent removal that's not assassin's trophy in my sideboard. And I'll be sure to check out that deck.
