Just FYI, you can't use Hex Parasite to remove time counters on a suspended card - it's not a permanent until it's on the battlefield. Have you thought about a Greater Gargadon? it fits your theme, colors, and gives you another sac outlet for your Persecutor. It might take too long to come into play, but at least you can drop it first turn :)

Have you tried Guttersnipe?

It may be just me, but I find Curse of Bloodletting too slow for this deck. I prefer the Quest for Pure Flame, since you can keep spending mana on your burn. You really only need one turn of double damage to blow your opponent away.

You might consider Urge to Feed for some quick and dirty removal. It's great for defense, since you can happily tap all of your vampires to make them bigger at the same time. Also, if you're going with unblockable effects (Markov Warlord, Crossway Vampire...), a Curse of Stalked Prey or Rakish Heir may be a good investment.

I have a similar deck that aims to pull out massive quantities of tokens and find that Cathars' Crusade is just amazing. If you have it out before you cast Martial Coup, it's pretty much game over. Captain's Call becomes a huge buff to all of your creatures, and don't even get me started on Captain of the Watch!

Also, I prefer Intangible Virtue to Phantom General - it's cheaper and vigilance on my tokens is quite scary. I know your captain gives vigilance, too, but she's a little expensive and having a power-up enchantment is really powerful against colors that have trouble with enchantments (red, black), which happen to be exactly the colors with great creature removal for slaying your lords. Plus, it survives Martial Coup!

Ah, yeah, sorry... I usually play casual and forget these kinds of things. Well, good luck!

Have you considered a Sangromancer? With the discard and destroy creature effects you have, it may be a good addition. Plus, she's a vampire!

Thanks for the comment! You're right, I could get more power more quickly from red. I like the Prowl mechanic, though, and also the idea of a black goblin deck (nobody suspects it)! I want to keep the cost ($) down too, if I can.

I've been playing with a couple of Boggart Mobs in there, and I like the results. I can get out more goblins pretty quickly that way, so long as I have a Frogtosser to get the mob out early enough and can get in a couple of hits with my Fear goblins. Those tokens can be pretty scary when each one that slips past defenders duplicates itself, and they provide great fuel for my Warren Weirding or Fodder Launch!
