Ah, thank you I'll make that change.

Yeah, but those cards all rather expensive (for me and him that is). If I get those cards I'd give them to him (except the Mayor, I'd use him myself :P), but for now the deck is just to get him interested, before any true money investment.

If he gets interested and is willing to spend some money I'll tell him your suggestions. Thanks!

Thanks! I tried at first to make a Worm Harvest deck, but then I realized some people in my play group run Nihil Spellbomb main deck so that would be disaster. I guess my efforts to counter that turned into an Extraction deck.

I'm going to build this one after school starts, so I'll be back to look at Surewhynot's stuff and yours for improvement.

Ummm.... just throwing this out there, you are basically gambling on drawing heartless summoning in this deck. If you don't get that card, you are kinda screwed. Consider adding some lower cost cards to act as a buffer until you can get Heartless Summoning.

Also, don't run 4 copies of any legendary/planeswalker, since they generally turn out to be dead cards in your hand since you have one on the field already: I'd take out at LEAST ONE (I'd suggest 2) copies of Sheoldred and Liliana. And put in some more land, I personally like 22 at least.

Agreed. You don't any responses so the sorcery speed doesn't hurt.

Well, reading into storm (thanks for the suggestion btw), it says "each spell cast before it this turn", so I guess storm activates, but will not count copied spells, so I'd only be doing 3 damage with each grapeshot I play and copy, which is not profitable when I could just copy the lightning bolts.

The training grounds help level echo mage, but yeah it doesn't help with the ability.

Alright, I'll throw in vapor snags, they are waaaayyy better than unsummon when I start copying them over and over ;D

Thanks!

What I would do:

Take out:
3x Beast Within
2x Awakening Zone
2x Triumph of the Hordes
2x Cultivate
1x Overwhelming Stampede

Put in:
2x Green Sun Zenith
3x Harrow
2x Beacon of Creation
2x Silklash Spider
1x Garruk Wildspeaker

Reasoning:
You really don't need both Turntimber Basilisk and Beast Within. Awakening zone isn't very good
mana ramp, along with Cultivate. Triumph of the Hordes is overkill, since you already had 4 copies of Overwhelming Stampede, but I suggest that 3 would be enough with a good amount of deck thinning.

The Green Suns would be great cause then you can find the lieges, and baloths, or the titan (which you only have one of, so Green Sun would be a big help). Harrow is to replace Cultivate as your mana ramp. Beacon of Creation replaces the Awakening Zones, cause the tokens made by the Beacon can benefit from the Lieges. The Spiders are there cause you need the flying defense. Garruk is there cause a bunch of other people said that you should add him :).

Then there are the terramorphics/fetchlands for deck thinning that others have mentioned, put some of those in.
