Deck Description

I wanted to make a Defender deck. While doing a random card search I came up with this idea based around Luminarch Ascension. Thanks for the comments I have already made some good changes. This deck is now green and white. With the intent to make as many Angels as possible as fast as possible. This is how I hope to do it I want to use Sterling Grove to protect my enchantments thats easy to see. I also want to use Paradise Mantle attached to Gilder Bairn to add charge counters as quick as possible to Luminarch Ascension.

Deck discussion for Angel Defender

I like the concept of the angels but what if you found a way to overrun the field with angels?

Are you talking about proliferate? I toyed with the idea because a non infect based proliferate deck is another idea I have. However It costs me 2 mana to make an angel. How could I over run the field with them If im limited by mana? Maybe a Caged Sun..... but that again cost six mana so that would take a a few rounds to get out. But on the other hand I would be in the same position as if i didn't proliferate a turn 6 (plus one turn) first angel. But this time I could get on turn 7 with a mana draw every turn 7 angels on turn 7 plus the 3 from turn 6. Leaving me with a total of 13 angels on turn 7. I may have to Seriously think about a Caged Sun. Take out the Intangible Virtue and put in the Sun's? What do you think?

sorry it would only be 7 not 13 I would have to cast the caged sun on turn 6 so that comment above is a little off please forgive me.

Okay so caged sun is out and Gauntlet of Power is in So that will put me one turn shorter on a perfect draw and still give me the +1 +1.

Thanks I see what you are talking about now. I have made some big changes to the deck if you look above. I think it will be more productive now. What do you think?

removed both the gauntlet and the sky plains i see lol but over all seems interesting with the amount of angel tokens u could build up. since u seem to use a lot of enchantments u should look at Sigil of the Empty Throne think thats the right spelling anyway it also produces 4/4 angels

I will keep that in mind. FYI correct spellign lol. But I think ill proxy what I dont have and give this a try and if I see that alot of Enchantments are coming out before my target is dead Ill definetly give that card a go looks interesting. Thanks for your comments.

To buy you some time you could also include cards like, Ghostly Prison. And against burn/discard decks Leyline of Sanctity. This is the build I play with Luminarch Ascension, not really defenders but tappers:

I would use Norn's Annex instead of ghostly prison. 2 life per creature is harder to give then 2 mana, unless they are playing white of course.

I would suggest doubling season over parallel lives.

Thats an expencive card although a great help to the cause I will have to see if getting the 4 counters on Luminarch Ascension is a huge issue first.
