Hi! I think spam merfolk and hope for the best is not a proper strategy to play magic. I also play simic merfolk on arena and there are some key cards the deck needs in my opinion.4 silvergil adept for card draw4 benthic biomancer for early pressure and card selection4 deeproot elite to grow your creatures4 jade bearer to put counters on your creatures.4 merfolk mistbinder as the only lord we haveThen i play 2-3 herold of secret streams as a curve topper. It makes your creatures unblockable so you can swing for the win.Try to craft some of your missing cards. There are different takes on the merfolk strategy, but this works fine for me.

It's based off the Jungle Secrets deck. At first I was going to go for a spammy aggro list like your suggestion, but the tap creatures are way more helpful than they look. Frequently you'll start second, and have only tap lands, so you'll get a one drop on turn 2. The tapdown creatures are extreeeeemely useful. The Dive Down is when you run into the other decks on mtg arena, the mill decks- gotta shut them down.
