Excellent points, but I think I'll leave it this way for now. I'm really just using Soul Ransom as a better Mind Rot. As for Lazav, he really is entirely unnecessary. I just like to twist the knife while I mill. Thanks for the suggestions!

I just made a whole bunch of changes. What do you think?

I like this, although I'd consider replacing a couple of the Sanity Grindings with Traumatize, since you're building modern. You'd have to reveal a pretty great set of ten cards to have Sanity Grinding take half your opponent's library.

I do. Until rotation, M12 Garruk is mainly for card draw, and will die as soon as he hits anyway.

I considered that, but in this deck I think Venser + Myr Battlesphere is more valuable. Win conditions are mainly the Battlesphere's fireball, the Battleshphere itself, and Tezzeret's ultimate.

You're absolutely right about Carnage Altar. In fact, it's such crap that I used it as a place holder to remind myself I needed some sort of draw there. As to True Conviction, it's more difficult to play than the Herald, and I would rather have flying than double strike. My knights are on a crusade, so an angel is perfectly appropriate. I tried another version of this with battle cry, but decide to use that in my Boros deck instead. Brave the Elements, however, I should definitely put in there. Finally, of course I know I can enter a number greater than 4 for a card, but my sample hands look so much prettier with six different types of Plains.

The Piper is a great idea, but I'm building standard legal for this one.

Thanks, everyone. I was pretty pleased with myself when I decided Electropotence belonged in an infect deck, and I'm glad to see people agree. This, of course, is just a very early version. I start playtesting tomorrow night.

That would be fun. Last night I managed to get all my Eldrazi out on turn 5. Turn 1, forest and Joraga Treespeaker. Turn two, forest, level up Treespeaker, play Llanowar Elves and Wild Cantor. Turn three, forest, Doubling season. Turn four, mountain, Kozilek's Predator, sac Cantor for Training Grounds, level Treespeaker all the way. Turn five, forest, Spawnsire, mana loop, and win. My opponent's look was satisfying enough when he saw all the Eldrazi come out, but he nearly lost it when I finished with All Is Dust.

The organization is, "Screw it; that looks like fun." I play a lot of multi-player with up to 10 people, and the games move slow, giving me time to experiment. You're right about the one-ofs, but I play what I have. I'd rather buy a booster box and see what I get, maybe find some new combos, than just buy expensive singles. If I played more than casual it might be different, but I don't. Thanks for your advice on my blue/white leveler deck though.
