Counter spells and return permanents to your opponents' hands. Buy yourself time, by shutting them down. I have played this deck about fifteen times, and it has been banned from my group, because no one has been able to beat it.
Counter your opponents' spells, and return their creatures to their hands. Keep shutting down their attack power, until you throw out Ward of Bones. Then follow up with creatures like Stormtide Leviathan and Lorthos, the Tidemaker. Tidespout Tyrant will really accelerate this, and get rid of all of their land, as well. In the end, they will have nothing on the battlefield, and you can hit them hard.

sensei's divining top would help this deck tremendously

That would really boost this deck! Unfortunately, I was forced to deconstruct it. There was a unanimous ban from my group of players, on this deck. I have won 3v1 matches. Haha. If I decide to rebuild it, I will throw Sensei's Divining Top in the mix, if I can find it for cheaper. Thanks, bro
how do you win 3v1 matches with this? Just trying to figure out how a control deck can beat 3 other players with only counter spells and zero 1 drops. I feel like if all three players played a one drop or two drop you should lose... cause controlling three people is damn near impossible. Just trying to figure out how this deck doesn't fall behind in the first couple turns. what do your friends play with?
To be honest, I don't even remember. I deconstructed this deck a few years ago, because no one could kill me before I shut the game off. At times I would still take damage, but not enough to finish me off. I understand your confusion, but even when I got a bad draw, I would still do fine. In a one on one, it was never even close.
right on man!
To be fair, the 3v1 matches happened a while back. More than likely, the decks I was facing weren't that tough to beat. Perhaps I'll rebuild it and find out. Haha.
Looks very mean, too bad you deconstructed it. I might suggest take out one of the 8 mana cards (which may hurt with your 3 on 1 games), and adding in High Tide. OR maybe 1 Impulse.
I really like your idea to throw in High Tide. That would definitely help a ton! Thanks!!
