The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Why is corrupt in this deck when its not standard, two more tendrils? Kalitas sucks a lot and malikir bloodwitch is better... he is not fast enough... beseech the queen is also not standard so if you wanted this deck extended it should have much better removal but for standard you should have some mind sludge x3 and a sorin markov. Other than that its not too bad but you should have gatekeeper instead of aristocrat and one less sanguine bond for another bloodchief ascension. Also hideous end should be feast of blood and blood tribute should be sign in blood. Keep the mana curve down a little bit to improve performance. This makes vampires very hard to beat.

I am about to go Belmont on all these vampire decks... There really is no point to it, you should just play Suicide or Black Control.
A good suicide black theme can run vampires. It'll be a little weaker, but it can run a couple dark depths and decent search.
Anne Rice is God! I'd be her sex slave for a week.
guys some people would rather build decks that fit a theme and are interesting and fun to play and not just to win games...anne rice is fantastic and vampires have finally been given a tribal feel in magic...its great and I know that I love playing with my vampire deck...win or lose its a lot of fun
Amen, Billy. I build a deck to have fun playing, not necessarily to win. Theme decks are usually the most fun, simply because you can really get into the game.
Agreed with Billy and Roughneck - MTG is supposed to be FUN. People don't just post decks here that will win Grand Prix etc etc. They post decks they like, that they have made themselves, often with just the cards they have. For this deck, I agree with other posters - you are close to standard, so why not make it standard? Take out Beseech and Corrupt and put in some others. You could possibly try running the Blood Tribute/Sanguine Bond combo since you are running a Vamp deck. Also, from personal experience (I also run a vamp deck), I would pull out Kalitas (too much to cast, isn't worth it), and add 2 more Hexmages in his place. I also used to run Vamp Aristocrat and Blades of the Bloodchief but found that they were not as effective as I thought they would be. I traded Blades for more Sanguine Bonds and Aristocrat for more "cheap" vamps (Guul Draz, Lacerator) that were quick and easy to drop for use in the Sanguine Bond/Blood Tribute combo. If you can fit Gatekeeper of Malakir in there, I would do it. His kicker is cheap and totally worth it against most decks. Running 4 Bloodghasts and 4 Notcturnuses is a strong play. I wish I had 4 of each, myself. PS - Here is my Vamp/Combo deck if you wanted to take a look: Deck link: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=41374
