Black Hand (Legacy)

The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Discard/Pain with unblockable creatures (fear, flying), liliana's caress, and a bunch of burn/discard cards. This deck is very synergetic and has a solid mana curve. The weakness is lack of removal but the discards should remove most (especially non-creature) threats before they enter the battlefield. Lightning Bolt and Terminate remove creatures.

For most discard decks, later in the game, the opponent will have emptied their hand by playing cards and discarding, so they will just play what they draw, and the discard deck can't do anything. I think I get around that by being fast, using burning inquiry, and finishing with Guul Draz Specter.

I try to favor discards where i get to choose, random is next best, then they get to choose, for better threat removal. I had hypnotic specter but took it out to add terminate which I think will end up being more useful.

i will get 4 of each card listed (including non basic lands) to be able to play with the numbers, i will also get 4 nyxathid, 4 the rack, and 4 hypnotic specter that way i can shift the deck to be more mid/late game focused if that is what it needs.

i would get badlands, extirpate and thoughtseize but they cost too much

game example:

T1: duress or inquisition to get rid of a threat or answer
T2: Liliana
T3: Abyssal
T4: blightning and burning inquiry, for 25 damage

This game won't happen often, but a form of it will. I will have to go slower and remove more threats, I might burn them out with lightning bolt, I will hopefully pick up a dark ritual to go really fast into having the pieces in place to go off.

this deck wins with some combination of burning desire, hym to tourach and blightning on top of lilianas caress and abyssal specter.

Guul Draz Specter is realistically often going to be my game finisher.
