Deck discussion for Gimme Yo Life 4 turn win

Well, I would offer some advice, but I wasn't playing magic long enough to use these cards, so my help is basically useless :/
my only advice, is to cut down on the 1-ofs. They'll make your deck inconsistent, and fairly unpredictable.

So I couldn't be much help, but if you have any general questions I'll be glad to answer them.

He's right about the 1-ofs. Unless you like randomness in your deck, it does tend to leave you in the lurch at bad times to have a lot of single cards. At least that's what it did to me.

Pretty vicious-looking deck. Have you thought about adding Vampire Nighthawk or Painful Quandary? Between those two cards, your opponent would have to give up at least one thing per turn.

i like decks built around Sanguine Bond but i would recromend cards with lifelink as your creatures
for sure at least add some vampire nighthawks those are good in any black deck plus it fits the goal for the deck. also add more sanguine bonds like at least 3
and if your having problem getting out land fast use Absorb Vis for the land cycling maybe even throw in another one

thanks for the advice guys I'm currently waiting for an order to get here that has 2 vampire nighthawks and 1 more sanguine bond. I'm bout to add a couple more child of nights too. So far this deck has been a beast against my buddies

Agreed with the life linkers. Most of the best black life linkers are Vampires so Its good to put Sanguine Bond in a Vampire shell.

I run a casual deck with Sanguine Bond that is quit nasty. Take a look and you may get some new ideas for your deck.

you could try underworld dreams, never a bad card and perhaps switch to 2 x doom blade and 2 x go for the throat at there are alot of artifact changes lately and a bit of variation can never hurt

Hi, i'd offer advice but I'm not really familiar with the cards.

I did draw sample hands quite a few times though to see what it'd give me and a lot of the time i'd get a few lands and some high cost cards.

In my opinion I'd try and adjust the mana curve slightly and either take some of the higher cost cards out or add more lands / ways of bringing the higher cost cards out to the battlefield.

if it were me id remove bog witch and have four of each of those other creatures
take out the 1 of's
for spells take out everything except Blood tribute, blood tithe ,exsanguate, diabolic tutor, and consume spirit and keep the enchantments except for festering wound
lower your lands to 22 or 21

and try to get blood tribute, sanguine blood, and a creature to tap at the same time out so that you can win with that combo
but thats just me my deck is still in the works give it a look

The sideboard is cards that are sort of situational for the deck. In a tournament setting, the sideboard is EXACTLY 15 cards that you may choose to switch out on a 1 to 1 basis after the first match out of 3 w/ an opponent. In casual, I highly doubt anyone's going to care what your sideboard size is or when you choose to sideboard, provided you don't do that during the middle of a game. Nor will anyone care if the size of your deck changes because you simply put those cards in. Example (tournament or not): You've got 2 Go for the Throat and 2 Doom Blades in your main deck. You go up against another black deck. You know off the bat when you see a couple vampires and some skeletons drop that your blades are worthless. Game 2, you take out the 2 blades for 2 throats and make any other adjustments you wanted, and then you play again.

Add an Elixir of Immortality for Sanguine Bond to work better.

I personally would rather see a playset of Sanguines in the deck; I'm of the rule of thumb that if you are going to base a deck around a card then you want as many of that card in the deck as possible so that you can get it ASAP.

At 71 cards, I question the efficiency of the deck as a whole. I'm not going to say, "remove these 11 cards," rather, I'll offer this....

Cabal Coffers is an uncommon land that 2T: add black mana to your mana pool equal to the number of swamps you control. This is a PIVOTAL card to play in conjunction with Drain Life, Consume Spirit, and Exsanguinate.

Aside from that, Necropotence could be lethal in this deck, ensuring you card count and therefore an endless stream of damage dealing that will help fuel the idea behind the deck. My "Creature-less Necro" deck might give you and idea of how well Necropotence and Cabal Coffers work with one another.

I like the idea, I hope you're not getting the wrong idea, but the curve and speed of this deck is concerning to me.

Thinning the deck to 60 should be a priority, imo. If you can maintain what you want to do, while thinning the deck, you WILL experience a better outcome overall.

nice deck. I would add more vampire knighthawks. For 3 mana, it has flying, lifelink, deathtouch, and combos with sanguine, but more importantly, with blood tribute. I would try thinning your deck down into the 60s range. Get rid of the onesies that really do not impact or combo much.

I think you need Blood Tribute for the winning combo with Sanguine Bond.

Good luck!!

Hey buddy!

A few pieces of advice after a quick glance:
-It seems like a few of the cards that you're depending on have a pretty high casting cost. There is some Rare land from the alliance series--I think its called Lake of the Dead--that allows you to sacrifice a swamp for 4 Black Mana...and you can tap the sacrificed land first, so you end up getting 5 Black at the cost of one swamp. A Sol Ring would also make a good addition for all those X casting cost spells; I believe someone already mentioned the Cabal Coffers.
-Dump a Diabolic Tutor for a Demonic Tutor. No reason not to (except ~$10 difference in value)
-If you're gaining a lot of life, adding a Necropotence or Yawgmoth's Will might help your draw engine. A potential weakness I see (and often come across in mono-Black decks) is if you draw out and fail to win quickly, you're often screwed.
-I might ax the Absorb Vis in favor of...I believe it's called "Magus of the Mirror", a black creature you can sacrifice as an instant to exchange life totals with the other player. I realize its not exactly in keeping with the theme of the deck, but I always like to have a few surprises up my sleeve if things aren't going well. It will also lower your mana curve a bit and give you a throwaway blocker if needed.
