Deck Description

This is my deck after adding cards I pulled and traded for from Theros.

Main Changes? I traded Varolz for Whips, Putrefy for Thoughtseize, a few slots for Mistcutter, Added 2 Kalonian Hydras. Traded 2 Desecration Demon for 2 Nylea.

It prevents big threats from entering your opponents side early on while you get mana out there to play your big threats. I've had pretty favorable results with it.

How to Play

I love the Synergy Between Lotleth Troll and Whip of Erebos. I can throw a creature away to buff up Lotleth and it comes back for a turn hasted, and ready to go. This is especially effective with Kalonian Hydra if a Corpsejack Menace is out, but I used it once to toss out a Deathrite shaman and bring him back on T6 for instant removal to prevent a flashback that would have eaten me.

Sideboard:
Elixirs against Mill
Pithing Needle vs. Planeswalkers or other ridiculous ability creatures.
Ranger's guile against against removal!
Savage Summoning against control.
Golgari Charm against Board wipes, heavy enchantment or enchantment creature decks, Small tokens.
Dark Betrayal against decks with large cost black cards floating around

You'll really have to figure out what to swap as I've learned that making a definitive "Swap this for this against this" list, does not always work.

Deck discussion for G/B Whip it good!

Golgari Charms should always stay in this deck. It's purpose is just too good to SB. If it was me, I'll reduce one deathrite shaman and 1 Scavenging Ooze to make room for two charm.

Personally I like 3 or 4 Golgari charm so could reduce another scavenging ooze.

The charm will deal with any enchantment, kill any */1 creatures, and above all, regenerate your creatures, protecting them against most board sweeps.

Thoughtseize and Abrupt decay will help to pre-empt anything your enemy tries to do.

Every time I try to get rid of oozes I get kinda screwed. Even if I never attack with an ooze, the +1 HP for 1 green mana is too good. I used to have 2 or 3 Golgari charms mainboard, but a lot of the time it was sitting in my hand dead.
