I'll play test zenith alongside mutilate to see which one does more work. I was told if you are mono black mutilate was the poor man's damnation.

Tell me what you think. I'm open to suggestions.
I agree with Jace -- I've found that just buying singles you want is really the best idea. The best you can hope to get from a box is 1 maybe 2 of a rare/mythic you want, and then make your money back on the rest so that you can trade towards the cards you actually want.
Every time I try to get rid of oozes I get kinda screwed. Even if I never attack with an ooze, the +1 HP for 1 green mana is too good. I used to have 2 or 3 Golgari charms mainboard, but a lot of the time it was sitting in my hand dead.
I have a similar golgari deck, and I'll say, Jarad never worked well for me if things weren't going terrible. I'd recommend: -2 Jarad, - 1 Dreg Mangler, -4 Slitherhead -- + 3 Rakdos Cackler, + 4 Elvish Mystic for cheap changes. And adding ~3 Deathrite shaman, ~ 3 Scav Ooze, ~ 2 Kalonian ~3 Abrupt decay for not so cheap changes.
I've had some good luck moving counters around after blockers were declared too. I had dreg mangler In originally. I'll try it again once I've played with this a bit.
Made some changes to my deck. I removed Deathrite shaman because it just wasn't putting out enough during play testing against various powerful proxy decks. (Hexproof, Esper Control, Mill, Gruul aggro, Slivers). With theros coming I didn't want to spend much on them, I ordered the rest of the deck today (Shocklands, Varolz, etc.)
I lucked into a second Kalonian Hydra. Drew a foil Scavenging Ooze from a booster at FNM and traded.
I play tested 4 Mystics, no gyre sages, and the deck just didn't run as well. So I stuck 2 in with 3 mystics and 2 sages. It ran about as well as the 2 mystic 3 sage I had before, but I suppose I have less hefty cost mana ramp now.
Pretty much once my battlefield is set I'll discard whatever I have to. Varolz allows some extra scavenge, but really It's usually better to eat them with oozes or deathrite than scavenge so far.
Gyre Sage usually hits 2 or 3 evolves.-- the thing is, with corpsejack, it doubles if she evolves from that, and if I need mana ramp; I can shift counters onto her fast. If I am done placing creatures, and going for the kill; I can remove her counters to another creature. (And the corpsejack doubles all bioshifted counters $)
I like it -- I may eventually do Jund, but for now, the cost of one set of shocklands is sufficient :P. I'll wait to see what theros has for us.
I'd appreciate any input on this one guys. I want it to be competitive and rotation-proof, but not super expensive.
Hmm. Fair enough. But the other deck I'm working on is going to be hexproof
I haven't ever seen that card before. I like it. I'll see where I can work 2 or 3 in. Vraska isn't working out, so I may drop her.
The lame thing is that Increasing savagery is about to rotate out. :(
This deck is a work in progress as a playtest it. Any Suggestions? Please post!
Yea -- playing this deck 20ish times so far, I've won by straight milling maybe 4 times. There's lots of elixir of immortality in decks nowadays, so Usually Wight or Consuming end up being my win. On a side note though, One night I stuck Tamiyo the moonsage in while I let a pal borrow a jace though and ended up having both out and using their ultimates on the same turn. That was interesting.
I built this .. was a bit soft and the counters weren't doing what I really needed at first so: -3 Dispel, -1 divination // + 2 Counterflux, +2 Aetherling
It won't be standard for long unfortunately.
