Deck Description

I wanted to make a Mono-Green ramp to abuse an early Kalonian Hydra but then Savageborn Hydra/Ogre Battledriver was too beautiful not to splash red

I also want this deck to continue to be in Standard after Innistrad rotates

How to Play

Ramp up mana with Elvish Mystic/Lay of the Land/Burning-Tree Emissary to play your big dudes: Ogre Battledriver then follow with your Hydras to give them haste

Most of the time you don't want to play Ghor-Clan Rampager but bait them into taking massive damage by using it's bloodrush ability and give your huge creature +4/+4 and trample when it gets blocked by something tiny or not blocked at all

Domri Rade is a 3 drop planeswalker... OP as fuck in a deck with this much mana ramp and this many high power creatures

Ez mode deck just literally play everything in your hand and swing to win

Ranger's guiles helps your dudes survive removal and by the time it gets into later game your dudes will be too huge to stop

Deck discussion for Standard: Gruul Hydra Rush

Looks familiar ;) I'm not too crazy for lay of the land personally...no acceleration, not a farseek replacement. I'd rather run manaweft sliver or zhur taa druid. At least they help get that turn three battledriver every time. Also if you throw in those ramp spells i suggest one garruk, caller of beasts over a domri. In testing caller has been excellent for digging for creatures, and 8 ramp spells can get him out in time.

Shhhh
What can I say, Hydras are the best :)

True lay of the land is a very poor substitute for farseek but it sort of generates virtual card advantage in that it thins your deck by taking out lands and putting them in your hand

You know what just for you i'll take out 2 lay of the lands and add in one of each :P
(I'm not a fan of having singles in my decks but whatever)

Having Domri over Garruk tho is purely personal preference
For me it's just nicer to have a 3 drop planeswalker but I can definitely see how powerful Garruk would be
