Versus Control: SB in your Hammer, Burning Earth, Spotlight, Pithing Needle and possibly Bomb. Versus Stompy (Big Green, R/G, G/W Bigstuff): SB in Spotlight, Mortars and Treasons for sure. Possibly Reckoner and Mogis as well, but keep your flyers. Versus other aggros: SB in your Reckoners, Treasons and possibly your mortars. You can take Spotlight as a finisher/utility as well.Versus Mono Blue: ... Good luck. This is a luck fest. You'll need your Spotlight, Mortars and Bomb for sure - but you SHOULD be able to punch through if you can get the quick drop. Once Master of Waves comes down, try not to panic. Your Bomb saves you here, and you can still hold out a win with flight and Spotlight Alpha Strike. Try to keep your wits against this stupid matchup.Versus anything midrange, late bloomer, Mono Black or else: Stick with the basic setup. Adjust after collecting data post game 1.
Red Deck Wins is a classic MTG Archetype and shouldn't ever be dismissed as "basic" or "easy". If anything - a well made and sideboarded RDW should be smart enough to take on almost any form of the meta despite it's minimalistic appearance. Using burns, fast hitting critters, flight and some tricks, RDW is a MTG traditional deck that can introduce newer players and reward skillful players alike. It's almost always a tier 2 or 1.5 deck, and typically has a way of sweeping certain matchups because of it's sheer speed. If you like fast play and dominating strategies, RDW is a deck you should try! Enjoy!
