Deck Description

I'm trying to build a flicker deck for standard. Not sure what to add and take out to improve it. I recently added in blue.

Deck discussion for Er' Day I'm Flickerin

This is a good deck. Conjurer's Closet is a must though. Roaring Primadox would help, too.

If you get the chance, I'd gladly take any advice or suggestions on my Mono black control/burn. Keep it standard. I plan on hitting up my first qualifier with this.

Nice start to a flicker deck. I'd include venser while he's still standard legal. You're already in the color's and he's a great utility. Deadeye captain is great for this kind of deck as well though I really only see him as a one of. The thing I really don't like about the Deadeye is his mana cost, which is why I went with the Smuggler but his activation cost is pretty costly so I'm not sure how long he will stay in here either. Venser will really help especially since his 2nd ability can win the game the turn you play him. I feel like I should stop worrying about the curve so much and just ramp more

I agree his cost is high but he enables things like using fiend hunter to permanently exile their creatures. I think ramp in this kind of deck is helpful as it gives you late game chump blockers and powers you out faster.
