Deck Description

Doubles up red Sorceries and Instants damage (Fire Servant) and allows to play these types of spells without paying their cost (Galvanoth).

The catch in this deck is the fact that I can't test it. :( I don't have all of this cards, and I don't have enough money to buy them all at this moment. It would be great if someone can test this deck, and leave a small review. :)

Deck discussion for Galvanoth's Power

running preordain might help you sort out on turn 4 or 5 through what's mana and whats a spell, and maybe run 3 galvonoth, besides that, i really like it! :) arc trail might be good for stall so you can get your better defense out, but besides that, i really dig it! :D great job!

also, check out my deck? it's a tezz aggro that i'm looking for feedback on! :) like for like maybe?

I agree with Preordain. The biggest issue with burn is that you often get through your hand and then sit there waiting for your draw step to do anything. If you can find a way to keep your hand fresh by implementing some other blue draw, I think you'll see great returns. There might be better alternatives to Ingenuity; I'm not completely familiar with all the cards available in Standard, but 3UU is pretty steep. I would imagine that most of the time you'd be playing that during your turn as you'd want mana open for other instants during your opponent's turn.

I'm not really sure why you wouldn't main deck Red Sun here. It's virtually the same as Fireball but it comes back; I'd swap their placements. Also consider Forked Bolt for early game control.

Hope these suggestions help!

If you get a chance, I welcome any comments or criticism you can offer on any of the decks I have posted here on the site (just click on my name to see the deck list). Thanks!

I've put Fireball into Main Deck because it can hit multiple targets. There are only four cards in this deck that can counter opponents spell and it can get ugly when I'll be out of them, when my opponent will cast 2 or more problematic creatures. That's the moment I should put fireball into use.

As I've wrote above - this deck have only four spells for countering opponents spells. I think this is something important to fix. I was thinking about putting Cancel in Main Deck, but I have no idea what should I take out (I would like to stay with sixty cards)...

About Preordian... Jace's Ingenuity gives us three cards for five mana, while Preordian gives us one card for one mana - and Preordian surely wins here. But... Preordian requires to Scry... What if I'll get to choose what put on the bottom of library from Gavenloth and Fire Servant, that are key cards of this deck?

Maybe I'm thinking too much about bad stuff...

Thanks for help, I really appreciate that. :)

Scry is a MAY not a HAVE. This is pulled right from Wizard's site:

502.36a Scry is a static ability that functions while a spell or ability is resolving. "Scry X" means "Look at the top X cards of your library. Put any number of them on the bottom of your library in any order and the rest on top of your library in any order."

If a spell has scry 2, you look at the top two cards of your library and then decide where you want to put them. You can put both cards on either the top or bottom of your library in any order, or you can put one card on the top and one on the bottom.

This should clear up your concern with Preordain. Scry is amazing as it lets you run through your deck. Because if both suck, you put them both at the bottom and you're 2 cards deeper.

You're right with Fireball, though, I completely forgot about it's utility. The downside to it's utility is it's cost to get it to roll. Often it ends up being too much to do (for example, 6 mana to deal 2 damage to two targets). Considering how expensive it ends up being, it might be something to avoid just for the sake of having the recurrence from Red Sun.

You're right, my bad.

I just made a change in this deck - I took Jace's Ingenuity out of the Main Deck, and putted Preordain in it's place. In place of Preordain in Sideboard I've putted Cancel, so in case of playing with someone who have many creatures it's possible to place these Cancel cards inside of Main Deck. :)

I'll think about switching Fireball for Red Sun's Zenith in Main Deck again.

If you're putting cancels in the sideboard just against creature-heavy decks, better would be essence scatter. Cheaper, less color cost, and allows you to save your mana leaks for other threats.
