Deck Description

The combo here is to mill your opponent's library to build up a pretty solid number in the graveyard and then drop the Lord of Extinction, who should be a fatty by that time. Plus you have some spells to protect him long enough to swing.

The other win condition, of course, is milling out.

This deck needs work so feel free to leave some suggestions.

thanks

Deck discussion for Mill Lord

needs traumatize, and maybe some grimoire thiefs, depending on legality, but i get the concept. Have you considered making lord of extinction unblockable?

what is going to kill this deck is a fast creature deck. You really don't have too much defense. If you want to take only 3 creatures i say take out putrid leech and put in a good wall. You probably don't need overrun in this deck. You don't have too many creatures that it will benefit from. Hopefully by the time you cast Lord of Extinction you really will not need overrun. Maybe Giant Growth would be a little better, granted it is only 1 creature but the casting cost is a lot less. A little trick i use to do when i played green was to always have 1 card in my hand and 1 forest untapped at all times. This way people think that you have a giant growth in your hand and tend not to attack if they cannot deal with the extra +3/+3.

This is me, but i would put doom blade in my side deck. You never know when you face a solid black deck, then this card is useless.

Traumatize is a great card but high casting cost. If you are going standard then i would put this card in because it is an extra grind. I don't know too many grinding cards that are standard, but if you are focusing on lord then you need more grinding.

You probably want to add a search for creature spell in your deck spell so you have a better chance to get lord down.
