Deck discussion for Pirates of Fortune

Lorwyn block rogues, brings back great memories!! Looking great there mate, aggro with a plan. Looks like you've got a lot of options worked in there. I like that. Looks well balanced.

Good deck! Only problem I can see is there's a lot of 1/1's that could be destroyed be a burn deck.

@phantomonkey I take your point. However the blackguard does gives +1/+1 counters so it shouldn't be to much of a worry
@Setherial Yeah Thanks mate. I Love rogues

By the any one @else if you comment on my deck i will comment yours if you ask

i think if you added a megrim or 2 then the discards become a little more lethal. :)

I did consider using megrim and i might add it. However, consider that for the most part(excluding noggin whacks) i have to deal combat damage to make them discard a card, my point being that stinkdrinker bandit gives +2/+1 for every creature that deals combat damage anyway. So i deal him plus 2 damage even when he has no cards plus Stinkdrinker bandit is rogue and therefore fits better. Still could add it though and have the noggin whacks do 4 damage a piece. I'll think it over. Thanks for your comment

Nice deck. Might I suggest the enchantment Mortuary. That way when a creature of yours dies, it just goes on top of your library instead of in your graveyard. With Coastal Piracy out, all you'd need to do is deal damage to get them back.

Thanks for the suggestion. It would probably definitely make my deck more tenacious. I'll play test it and maybe replace it for cloak and dagger. Ive put it in the sideboard for now. It definitely has the advantage of protecting all my creatures not just one.

Very cool. You've got a lot of cards that can attack a player in different ways at the same time.

Megrim should be in the standard deck, instead of the sideboard.
Replace the Cloak and Dagger with Cover in Darkness

Nice deck though.. +1

Megrim is a sick card don't get me wrong my only reservation is this. Although Megrim might seem like the obvious choice in this deck it doesn't fit. A crucial part of this deck is to be able to cast everything as quickly as your picking up this would slow things down. I'm far better off casting 3 other things than one of these its as simple as that (bannerets make rogue cards cheaper so). I also feel Cover of Darkness is unneeded. Two reasons being 1 that most of my creatures are already evasive and 2 Although you might not see it just by the card list this deck has a major swarm factor so i'll still get damage through by sheer numbers. Nor does cover of darkness replace cloak and daggers function. The Blackguard and Fortune thief are worth protecting in my mind. Anyway thanks for the suggestions but those are my reasons

@EVERYONE ELSE

PLEASE NO MORE COMMENTS ABOUT MEGRIM. THANKS

Please to anyone else who comments which would be better 2 Niv-Mizzet, the Fireminds or 2 Malfegors??

please don't decide on how good the card is individually but how good you think it works in my deck.

To your comment above I think that Niv-Mizzet firemind would work better than malfegor because I really don't see the use of malfegor in your deck while the firemind would help actually do damage. The deck overall is good, but I think that it needs a little more strategy. You only have a few cards in there that are better if you have rogues. Good work.
