Deck Description

I've been dying to put my Tamiyos into a deck. After I saw this article (http://www.wizards.com/magic/magazine/article.aspx?x=mtg/daily/rc/195) I did my best to build it with what I had available. It's a Turbo Fog Mill deck. The basic idea is to stay alive while milling the hell out of the other player, partly with card draw beyond what they can use.

Advice is welcome.

Deck discussion for Foggy Mill - Standard

Looks very promising. I had a run in with a turbo fog deck before and it was so annoying, but it worked. Should be interesting to see it with Tamiyo. Blunt the Assault is another good combat damage stopping card.

Cool deck, my suggestion:
-4 Rites of Flourishing
-2 Jace Erasure
-1 Otherworld Atlas
+4 Thrummingbird (will help the planeswalkers and otherworld atlas)
+3 Ludevic's Test Subject (With the Thrummingbird you will have another way to slay your oponent in case milling is not working)
Also Tree of Redemption is a good way to keep you alive.

The Rites are essential. The card draw and mana drops help the deck function, and hopefully keep me drawing into fog. I'm considering taking out the Snap Caster and the Erasures. I don't really want to exile my fogs, I want to recycle them. I may put in two Chalice of Life and Death as my alternative win con in the place of the Erasures... not sure. I saw your deck by the way, very nice.

Yeah I guess if you take out the rites it is no longer turbo and just fog, Chalice of life sounds decent but maybe more creature removal or control will be good?

I'm hoping to just fog every turn, so creatures shouldn't matter. That's the hope, anyway.

Nice idea the Jace archivist is way faster than the Otherworld atlas, I also changed the Jace erasure for Viridian emissary since you can chump block with them and nets you a land.

Yeah, I wish I could find something else in that mana cost range that would just draw me cards.
