Deck Description

When RtR released my angel deck sort of broke, so I had to rebuild it. I decided to switch from Selesnya colors to Boros, just for the heck of it. It's particularly fun to drop Avacyn, and then blow up the board with Divine Reckoning a turn later.

Deck discussion for ANGEL SPLOSION - Standard

-1 Chromatic Lantern, -1 Gilded Lotus/ +2x Entreat the Angels (lotus is too expensive, you should be playing angels with your 5 drops, not mana ramps. the lantern seems unnecessary here, unless im missing something...
-2 Divine Reckoning/+2 Day of Judgement or Planar Cleansing (your creatures are not destroyed when Avacyn in on the board, so why let them keep one?)

Excellent comment, I'll make some of the changes you've suggested if I get the cards. For example, I simply don't have any DoJ or Planar Cleansing, or Entreat the Angels (which I would love to run).

Gilded and Chromatic are nice because they fix my colors, but I understand your point. On the other hand, they do let me power out Avacyn and Gisela...

You like the single Reforge the Soul? I wasn't sure about it.

I think it can be helpful in situations...better as a sideboard though. Id rather have a Terminus in its place, because it will be helpful every time. Reforge really only helps in situations where you are able to dump most of your hand before you draw it. if you have to drop 7 to get 7 its no card advantage, but if you drop 0 to draw 7 its great....i think its too inconsistent, and your deck runs too expensive.

DoJ only works for non-standard decks, as it is M12, but Planar Cleansing is a budget rare, you should be able to pick up for $1 or less at the local card shop. just be careful with that one if you run artifacts or enchantments.
