The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

I felt nostalgic and wanted to build a nice straightforward tribal deck.
1- Play all the Zombies2- Eat all the brains3- Repeat

All the cards with 1 and 2 copies...it makes my head hurt!!lol, joking aside, I wish damned Gravecrawler was cheaper. Seems like Zombies and Goblins are expensive Tribals. Especially with staples like Gravecrawler and Goblin Lackey.

As a veteran I noticed any card that is playable has gone up in value over the last 5 years in a way that make the game very hard to take up for new players, which is a shame. On the other hand my collection is now worth a small fortune... not that I ever intend to sell it! Amongst others I find the Goblin Guide is ridiculously expensive; I wish they would reprint it (not just in MMA2) to help put a few more in circulation. The Gravecrawler is really Worth the 5$, especially if you own Mutavaults. :)
I have 3 Guides. My friend gave them to me. I never use them. Trying to wait until the market peaks and sale them off. That is the flaw in me trying to wait...because if they reprint them, my 3 copies will go down in price. They were at 25 now at 20 dollars. TrollandToad is willing to give me a total of 51 dollars store credit for 3 of them.Or 41 in cash. I am being greedy and want more though.
And yeah, just got back into Magic after quitting for 10 years. The price of Force of Will and Lion's Eye Diamond made me poop my pants!!!All the staple cards held their value or went up in price. I should of spent more money on the cards, 10 years ago.But I was young will very little money to spend.
I hear you; I started playing in 1995 and missed out on all the good stuff because I was too young to invest in cards. At least I made good purchases around the year 2000 and again around 2010 so I'm set for most staples, but still I find it aggravating that whenever I am trying to get a friend to join the game the budget issue usually comes up pretty fast. Some guys I know have build Pauper decks and we started a small league, so there is that, but it is so limited. Also I have put a Cube together to allow my friend to draft and play powerful cards, and that is awesome as soon as we manage to get our schedules together. You shouldn't wait on thoses Guides, I am pretty sure they will be printed in MMA2 and that will bring the price down for at least a little while. Why not trade to someone for the full value instead of selling to a store?
I have no one to trade with.
Haaaaa, that blows. No Magic community in your area? Where are you from?
In a very small/rural area. Most people would not play the game even if they knew it existed. Closest game shop is about 50 minutes away and all they are worried about is Tournaments and Drafts. They sale or trade very little, unless you just show up at the right time, when there is someone there with a lot of cards worth trading for. Guy I played Magic with..haven't seen him in several months. And he didn't really want to trade anything. He choose to buy any cards he wanted. So I am left with a Card company that will only give me part of the value for the cards. 51 store credit or 41 in cash. And that has went down. A few months ago it was 55 store credit or 42 in cash.
51 dollar for store credit sounds damn good considering they want 20 dollars a piece in cash for them. I mean, if I bought 3 Goblin Guides from them it would be 60 dollars.51 dollars store credit is only 9 dollars less than what their value is. And I have several cards I want to get with that money.I need 3 Argothian Wurms to have my LLC done.4 Goblin Lackey and a few Recruiters/Ringleaders to have my Goblin Tribal done. And 4 Dimir Machinations to have my black sac deck complete. As of right now, the Goblin Guides are just sitting in a cardboard box, going to waste, not being used, or appreciated.
Yeah, if you put it this way it is fairly decent. Have you tried any of the online trading communities, like http://deckbox.org/ ?
Checking it out right now.
I should of damned listened.Troll and Toad only had one copy of Goblin Guide in Stock. That was why they wanted to trade so high to me. It was 3 Guides for 51 dollars store credit.I go on today, just one day later, and they have 24 copies of Goblin Guides that people sold them. Now they will only give 37 dollars store credit! 14 dollars lower in just one day!!! Crazy! Looks like people sold off all their Goblin Guides and lowered the value of them at Troll and Toad. Will try to wait to they have 1 or 2 copies in stock, and the trade in value goes back up.
Well that explains why their offer was so generous... So why are you not playing the Guides in your Goblin Deck?
Playing Lackey\Instigator with Siege/Krenko. If going Guide I would play other cards.
I see, that makes sense. I just like that card so much it is hard for me to accepts that you wouldn't want to hold on to them. :)
I probably will end up keeping them.
