Deck Description

A novice FNM deck I put together that I need to improve quite a bit. I'm poor and don't want to spend a whole lot more money. I was thinking about putting in that sick 4 drop(the name escapes me, but it's a 15 dollar card for vamp decks) and runnin those instead of haunting echos. I'd like to also have it closer to 60, but I'm not sure what I'd drop.

Let me know what you think, and your honesty is appreciated.

Vampire Nocturnus the 4 drop? My friend runs it in his deck, when he gets it out and a black cards on top of his library, it's often a game winner.
He also has fetchlands that he leaves in play for when he drops the nocturnus and there's a land on top, so he can reshuffle.
Vampire's bite is very meh, seems nice but he also used it for a while and it was rarely useful.
A lot of people don't like the vampire lacerators, but when he has them turn 1 drop, they're quite nasty to deal with. When they're hurting him more than his opponent, he can just block with them.
DURESS. it's an AMAZING turn 1 drop, and then awesome later too.
Blood tribute is expensive, so meh. play with it, see if you ever use it.. and I'd personally sideboard haunting echoes.
I agree with bloodghast, he's smexy.

So I ran Bloodghast as well as Vampire Nocturnus, I think once I can trade for them they will totally be worth it. I'm not sure what to do about my mana pool, I could really use help there. I feel like the deck runs so cheeply that mana isn't a huge issue, but I would like some free shuffles in there, as well as hitting with Bloodghast's landfall.

The only reason I like Blood Tribute(maybe this is sideboard material) is that with Sanguine Bond it's an automatic game end. Lost half life, tap untapped vampire, gain that life and re-deal the damage, takes half, gains half, deals half back, game end.

I want to run Durress in, but I'm not sure what I would cut, I was thinking maybe cut out a Vampires Bit, a Unholy Strength, and a Guul Draz and running 3 Durress in instead, but I worry my scope is getting too big. I feel that the Durress in there is neccisairy, especially with how much red burn can ruin a day and how popular it is in standard.

I struggled a little bit with deciding to run Guul Draz and Lacerator, but I decided in the late game, if I combo a kicked vampire bite on a Guul Draz I would get 6 lifelink and unblockable damage, so sanguine combo, game end. Although the popularity of Black in standard today is a force to think about with the intimidate.
