The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

A simple vampires deck with a little help from the Vampire Planeswalker, Sorin Markov. Need thoughts and ideas about how to mod this deck. I'M TRYING TO KEEP TO THE STANDARD RULE SET! 18/01/2010 Edit: Modified the deck by adding a couple of lands, Marsh Flats in particular, and by adding a couple of Bloodghast's.

You're going to need more lands to be consistent. At least 20 if not 22. Maybe you can sideboard something and toss more lands in.

yes, 20 lands is the bare minimum...and with Kalitas in your deck I'd say you need 22 replace the 4 sign in blood with swamps i'd also cut down the number of Child of Night and Malakir Bloodwitch by 1-2 each, make room for a few Vampire's Bite or some Bloodchief Ascension if you ever luck out and snag a few
So to conclude the tips from you guys: Kick in about 6 lands more, remove the sign in blood's and cut down CoN and M.Bloodwitch to 2 of each and then kick in 2 Bloodchief Ascension and 4 Vampire's Bite?
I would board the bloodchiefs. You don't need them, but they are GREAT against red deck wins that is constantly throwing their creatures into the graveyard. You need 3 Nocturnus and 4 marsh flats. The sac land will help you shuffle your deck and filter out a land if you nocturnus and reveal a land. I'd drop 1 malakir and 1 blade for 2 more nocturnus. Drop the feast of blood for 4 marsh flats. Drop a child of night for another sorin.
