I feel like Cipher has the potential to be very powerful and I was trying to figure out the best way and this is what I came up with. To get the most out of your Cipher cards you must be swinging in AND dealing combat damage. And the best way to deal combat damage is if your creatures are unblockable. And after looking at some of the plays you can get in this deck I believe that this deck has some potential.
The main idea of this deck is to play your unblockable creatures and then enchant them like Bant Hexproof or encode Cipher cards on the creatures. Predator's Gambit, Dark Favor, and Illusionary Armor all put very real clocks on your opponent.Hidden Strings is, in my opinion, the best card in the deck. This card allows you to have some silly turn 2 plays:Turn 1: Land into Tormented SoulTurn 2: Land into Hidden Strings untapping both of your own lands then put a Predator's Gambit and Curiosity on the Tormented Soul and swing in for 3 untapping both your lands and drawing a card while leaving mana up for a Spell Rupture for 3 that acts like a Mana Leak for their next spell giving you insane tempo advantage. Now that is a best case scenario but the fact that there are so many 2 drops makes plays similar to this possible. ex) Hidden Strings into Invisible Stalker/Dark Favor/Hands of Binding etc... Hidden Strings also allows for you to accelerate to 6 mana on turn 4. So on turn 4 you hit your 4th land drop and tap 2 lands to leave 2 mana floating. Then swing in with whatever creature is encoded with Hidden Strings untapping the 2 lands and tap all 4 to give you 6 mana floating to cast your Stolen Identity or Undercity Plague. This could also be used post sideboard to give you a devastating turn 2 Duskmantle Seer..... Not even fair...But I think that it is far from perfect and could use some work so*FEEDBACK AND COMMENTS ARE NEEDED AND WANTED!!!*
