Deck Description

Aggro deck that utilizes +1/+1 counters well. Use Rapid Hybridization on your own Undying creatures to bring your creature back along with a 3/3 Frog. Then use Zameck Guildmage to take that +1/+1 counter off your Undying creature so it can "Undie" again!!! Also a Rancor on a Master Biomancer gives all your creature four +1/+1 counters, including your Champion of the Lambholt, making its staring power 5!!!

Deck discussion for U/G Aggro

Personally I'd not run Biomancer and undying creatures in the same deck, even with the Guildmage (it can only remove 1 counter at a time). I see undying as a good evolve trigger, but Biomancer is a litte counter productive as it'll more often than not rob the undying of it's best ability.

I do agree that the Undying mechanic and Master Biomancer is a bit of a nonbo. But i figured the value that Master Biomancer gives to all your incoming creatures is worth sacrificing the mechanic. I am willing to play my 4/3 Strangleroot Geist with the Biomancer in play rather than a 2/1 with the mechanic. Also, the synergy with Undying creatures before Biomancer is in play is very powerful. For example, If i drop a Master Biomancer with a Strangleroot Geist in play and then I play Rapid Hybridization on the Geist, not only does he come back with the undying counter, but also with 2 Biomancer counters. Also the frog comes in with two counters. I think those types of synergies are too powerful to pass on. However, I can easily see where you are coming from. Getting the most out of your Undying creatures is very important in such an aggressive standard format and maybe you could remove the Master Biomancers for some more 3 drops and lower the mana curve. But Thank You for the input DedWards!!!
