Rancor is currently under $1 in MTGO and therefore just barely qualifies for a budget build. Unfortunately, in my opinion, Rancor also takes a lot of the skill out of Magic especially when combined with undying cards like Strangleroot Geist and Young Wolf. it basically becomes a green burn deck. The side deck is a complete afterthought in this deck. I'm not sure why you would really ever need to use it. Either the rush works, or it doesn't. The mana curve is extremely low. In the mainboard, nothing is more than 3 mana. This makes it good for a quick rush. The deck is fairly balanced. Deadly Recluse provides defense against flying attackers. Sundering Growth provides enchantment and artifact control. An argument could be made that the main board should go with Crushing Vines and Hunger of the Howlpack instead, but for now, it seems to work as it is. Deadbridge Goliath narrowly beat out Golgari Decoy for a sideboard slot, but the Decoy is worth considering.Obviously, an early drop of Young Wolf and Rancor will put you on the path to quick damage and victory. Strangelroot Geist and Wild Beastmaster compliment the overall deck. Fog is a back up against counter-strikes.The deck is pretty straightforward and should require almost no skill to play which is the greatest drawback in my opinion. I generally like decks that take more skill than this, but Rancor really reduces the amount of skill required to pilot any deck now that the graveyard is an afterthought. Like all decks, it can lose, but this deck is certainly reasonably competitive if extremely dull to play.

Champion of Lambholt is effectively a wandering wolf effect for the whole team - I would probably run it over Sundering Growth which I would keep in the sideboard. Wolfbitten Captive can be another aggressive 1 drop, forcing your opponent to cast a spell or let it flip (it's fairly god even without flipping).

i would run hunger of the howl pack main decm=k, and swap out wandering wolf with champion of lambholt.
like the build but if you really want to get crazy stupid drop the elixir, fog, the recluse and sundering growth. add in wild defiance, arbor elf, and revenge of the hunted. I would probably drop one land and add 2 champion of lambholt's. imagine you have the beastmaster out with a wandering wolf and wild defiance. you top deck a revenge. your beastmaster is now a 10/10 with trample and all creatures able to do so must block it, ohh and don't forget your wolf would now be a 12/11 that they cant block either. stupid right?
