I've been trying to work on a "creatureless" deck for a while. This may be as close as I can come. This deck effectively turns your opponent's deck against them. This is still a bit of a work in progress, although, I want to share the idea. As an aside, I am working within the framework of a budget deck building philosophy (trying to use cards that cost no more than $1), to build a deck. This means some cards, like Mizzium Mortars or Mutilate or Dreadbore, are not considered. The deck makes some very specific assumptions. One is that removal is so common, focusing on having creatures is almost pointless. With enough early removal, you should be able to hold out until the later rounds where you can start to steal their creatures. This deck also discourages things like Thragtusk and Supreme Verdict. The deck is very much a work in progress, but captures the flavor of death and chaos that is typical in the Rakdos guild. A lot of sideboard choices exist right now: Volatile Rig Typhoid Rat Witchbane Orb Manor Gargoyle Curse of Death's Hold Butcher Ghoul Reverberate Murder There were some difficult decisions. I'm still not sure if I want 3 Conjurer's Closet and 4 Grave Betrayals or vice-versa. I feel the emphasis on removal favors Grave Betrayal.
