Deck Description

In this deck built I took 1st place winner Gerard Fabiano's Sultai Control deck and made some changes. He talked about some changes he would like to see for the deck and I agreed with most of what he wanted to change. Most of what his deck did mainboard is mostly the same in this build minus the Tarmogoyfs. The main reason for their removal is due to the fact that I don't have them. Secondly, they feel to be one of the most underwhelming cards in the deck. I decided to up the number of Snapcasters to 4 instead of 3 mostly due to the removal of the Tarmogoyfs that it doesn't hurt to have another creature in it's stead. Another problem with Fabiano's original deck was that it's really weak to man lands considering it's only mainboard instant speed removal is Abrupt Decay and that doesn't do the job. Removed a fetch and added 2 Tectonic Edges. Also on of the bigger changes is the addition of 2 Quickens. These make your Thoughtseizes play like a Vendilion Clique and your Damnations become a lot more impressive as an end of turn play. I replaced the Ashioks with Lilianas because I feel that Ashiok is only strong against Midrange decks like Jund and Abzan and I wanted a more solid planeswalker to answer threats more immediately. It doesn't really hurt to change these 2 due to the fact that they are both 3-cmc.

As far as the sideboard is concerned, I didn't change much. I added another Golgari Charm as a concession to Splinter Twin where if they attempt to go off they can get the enchantment destroyed or all there creatures get -1/-1. I added 2 Scavenging Oozes to battle graveyard combo decks like Dredgevine and Necrotic Ooze Combo. Also pretty good against aggro. Night of Souls' Betrayal was insane against Lingering Souls and deserves to have a spot still.

This is my idea for the deck. If you like it please thumbs up and comment if you have anything you'd like to see different or added/removed. Thanks!
