Deck Description

Trying to make a deck with cards like blood artist to basically make my opponent destroy himself.

How to Play

Cards like Blood Artist and Falkenrath Noble cause your opponent to lose life whenever a creature dies. You can use Bone Splinters to get rid of a major threat and suck up 2 life while you're at it. Lingering Souls for protection (and maybe you could also get some of them killed). Isperia to punish attacks with card drawing. Blood Reckoning to punish attacks with loss of life. Curse of Echoes to punish burn spells and render counter spells useless. Barter in Blood will cause quite a bit of life loss with Blood Artist on the field, and also gets past things like indestructible and hexproof. Stormtide Leviathan to finish him.

Imagine playing against him, he has Curse of Echoes on the battlefield and tries to cast a creature. You decide to play a counterspell; then the Curse lets him copy it and put it on the stack. Now -his copy- resolves first, counters the counter, and renders it useless, as is said here. However, this works only on non-creature-specific counterspells, if I am correct.

but that doesn't make sense. if you copy something, you have interacted with it, and then the copy counters the origianl which means that the original had to exist. but if it gets countered then it doesn't get to exist, therefore it couldn't have been copied.

DualPrinciple is right in this matter and yes it only works on sorceries and instants only you cant copy creatures or non-basic lands etc.

When they cast a counter spell you can use the copy to counter the counter spell.
