The rack doesnt really fit in here. I think a discard deck works in 2 ways: 1) You keep your opponent drawing/discarding cards and deal dmg in that way ( lilliana's caress) 2) You make sure your opponent has no cards in his hand and you benefit from this with cards like the rack / Quest for the Nihil Stone etc. You seem like to be using n° 1 so replace the rack.. Your deck is a bit too slow aswell imo, maybe adding some dark rituals You might wanne add some megrims, cause i dont see you killing your opponent with just your creatues ( when you dont have lilliana's caress on the field ) I hope i've been helpful.. Ye i had some Guul Draz Specters in my deck for a long time, but decided to replace them with my other creatures.. I'll give it some more thoughts, maybe i can switch out 2 abyssal Nocturnus for 2 Guul Draz Specter..
Hypnotic Specter is too expensive for me, I wont pay 4 of them for € 10 a piece, not worth it imo..
Larceny is not really needed, what you need is: a) Some cards that make your opponent draw cards that in turn can be discarded. b) more cards like quest for the nihil stone so you can benefit of the fact that your opponent has no cards in his hand. Hymn to Tourach is nice in a discard deck and maybe some Hypnotic Specters? I have a discard too if you'd like to check it out.. Like!
Are you sure you have enough lands? Try Lilliana's caress over megrim. I'm not sure what Carrion Ants is doing here, it's pretty useless if you ask me.. try Augur of Skulls or Abysall Nocturnus. Quest for the Nihil Stone works too and switch out Mind Warp for another Mind Twist or Mind Rot / Wrench Mind. Take a look at my discard deck if you want
Looks good! I see what you're trying to do and can i suggest Ostracize? That way you can choose a creature from your opponent's hand and discard it. Also 18 swamps for 65 cards is too few, especially with such high mana cards.. Try to get it to 60 cards with 18-20 swamps. Augur of skulls instead of Reassembling Skeletons maybe. You need some Hymn to Tourach aswell. Dark Rituals are always good for some mana acceleration. Check out my discard deck! http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=148122
4 megrims but hardly any discard cards, there is alot of draw power in this deck so how about some Underworld Dreams? And if you want to use something like Megrim, use Lilliana's caress. I've put in 2x Trip Noose and 2x Frozen Aether, good advice man!
Icy Manipulator is good, but i'm not sure if it's worth it. Frozen Aether is really nice. Any idea on what i should replace it with?
Lilliana Vess is good, but i prefer cheaper (mana) cards for this deck.. good input tho, cheers!
Not needed, with quest i can equip the artifact when it gets into play..
Looks really good bro, but you should really try to get the deck to 60 cards.. Seems pretty strong tho! Take a look at my discard deck and tell me what you think!
