After Jace figured out how to attach Kozilek and Ulamog to reality, they were defeated. But with that victory, lots of their best allies have died. Now the team is after Emrakul, who has most likely fled a long way by now. Gideon volunteers to scout along with an arsenal of the most skilled soldiers he knows of. Along the way, Gideon hears rustling in the color-drained bushes. They have been ambushed.
In this deck, you'll find lots of cheap soldiers, and you may not find the best with them, but really thats just on their own. Each creature helps each other. And, if you don't like losing creatures, lots of the soldiers in our arsenal include exalted. So now we can command only one creature to attack... ready? Charge! Okay, we want to play a soldier right off the bat. Who's our first recruit? Oh, so your willing to step first. Okay. Entering, akrasan squire. This 1/1 has the exalted ability, so next turn we can charge with him as a 2/2. Ok, moving along. Who wants to go on our second turn? Nobody? You there... you look cheap enough. Entering, ballyrush banneret. Now lets swing with our squire. Two damage to you, Emrakul! Ok turn three. lets get serious. Our banneret allows us to play our soldiers for 1 less. Entering, aven squire! And another recruit: preeminent captain! Now we can swing with our squire for three. Even if Emrakul can block, his creature is doomed... Ok moving along. Turn four. Now, time to get serious. We can swing with preeminent, but he won't get exalted because he puts any soldier from our hand tapped and attacking. But thats good! Come on captain, who's our next recruit? You pick. Whats that? Paragon of New Dawns? Sure. Why not... I mean, he gives all our creatures +1/+1. So lets do it! And, we havent played anything besides a land this turn. We could play another preeminent and two 2 manas, im thinking veteran swordsmith and veteran armorsmith. Yeah. Sounds good! Now our creatures get another +1/+1! Our army is complete! Now lets defeat Emrakul!
