Yeah, I know...The library is there as a cheap alternative to the land, while adding the benefit of choosing what from my hand is discarded and what's put onto my library when I pull Jace's Archivist. As for the others, Ashiok's there because it's the card this deck was (originally) inspired by, and Nemesis is there because...frankly, I already bought him and he was a spendy one.

This is probably the most thorough advice I've ever been given on a posted deck. Thank you. It's modified now, let me know what you think.
Added the triplets, dragonstorm, decree of pain and privileged position. Got rid of a couple of the fatties, since I have too many already. Added Cromat as an alternative commander too. Thanks for the suggestions, man! Plenty to think about. I don't need too much more mana ramp than I already have, since I usually play world games when I do play.
It would be difficult to make use of phyrexian altar without a single creature. Maybe on greed and underworld connections. Also, a third coffers is on the list ;-) thanks!
Lol well if it's up for debate, might as well mention Glaring Spotlight
Just saw that. Not a 100% block, but it definitely forces your opponents to rethink their attack strategy. Good add.
@DJ because that's kind of what posting decks on this site is for. Hell, I wish people would write college essays on my decks more. Things will be unloved week after week without a single comment.
Fair enough; I suppose you could draw them out, though any good mill deck would be able to counter whatever elixirs they can't mill. As for hexproof, Wrath of God would work. Or you could splash black with Barter in Blood/Innocent Blood.
Great for preventing your opponents from winning and all...but I really don't see how it will let you win. One single gladecover scout or slippery bogle and boom-you lose.
Nice idea; the 4x demonic tutors would make me feel dirty, but that's a matter of preference I suppose. Only real problem is a lack of boost. You can either put a couple extra quicksilver amulets in there and use those to get your creatures out (risking destruction and subsequent inability to play your cards), or you can really ramp up the mana. To do that, I'd say dump 8 (2 types) of your lands, and replace 'em with Glimmerpost & cloudpost. Either drop the quicksilver amulet or get 4; if you drop it, get something like Thran Dynamo or Everflowing Chalice. I'm partial to That Which was Taken instead of Darksteel Forge myself, but that is also a matter of preference. You also will want to bear in mind that indestructibility doesn't solve all your problems. Most of your cards are easy for a good opponent to sweep, and even your tougher ones (DS Juggernaut, etched champion) will fall easily to a quick innocent blood/barter in blood. Also, it seems like you're trying to make this deck good against everything. Normally, I'd say that's not really doable, but if it's what you're going for then Skyship Weatherlight, Witchbane Orb and Sensei's Divining Top are a few cards to consider as well. The weatherlight has made an excellent toolkit-style addition to my own colorless deck, and has given me exactly what I need on many an occasion.
Strictly standard?
Except for they cost the same, and Wayfarer's Bauble can't get cabal coffers out since it's not a basic land. Expedition map can.
Expedition map. Get that cabal coffers out instead of just another swamp.
Heh believe me, once I've got $40 to spare, I will.
Mm hmm. But the only thing worthwhile for that would be the colossus, which can easily be brought out with Tinker without risking the opponent getting something good out.
Added cloak of mists and inexorable tide. Took out cloak of conscience and a tezzeret's gambit. Any other ideas? Save the $25 card lol.
Lol I'll check out the enchantment. Like I said though-casual. $25 for a piece of paper isn't on the to-do list at the moment.
I'll keep those in mind, thanks. For now I've got the bulk of the cards I need. I'm gonna put it together and see how it works.
I know - I wouldn't be too worried about it. The only way to really do anything about it is to go multi colored anyways, and that would really take away from the rest of what your deck has going for it. Keep building awesome decks and describing em Billy Mays style!
Austere command, fracturing gust, magus of the disk, nevinyrral's disk...shroud won't keep ya safe from any of them ;-)
