It's def an I win now card when played at the right time.
yes ive playtested with friends the last 2 days and this card has changed games
This deck is begging to play goblin rabblemasters! Also peak eruption and searing blood seem alright in the board, but I would consider eidolon of the great revel in their spots!
Thanks for the suggestions. I do prefer Searing Blood since it has always been a solid 5 for 2 everytime I've drawn it in the matches I've brought it into. As well I really like Peak in mirror and against the Chained to the Rocks a few people are running in my meta. Eidolon has hurt me so bad in the past, I just don't like it. I know it has huge potential but it it's at a cost which seems to be harder on me then others.
I love eidolon in modern, I have yet to try it in standard. on the play it just seems like so much tempo
WTF Peak Eruption? Mana screwing your opponent seems awesome, but it is not a reliable way to kill your opponent if they're also playing rdw. You can pull of the same amount of damage with more searing bloods, and you'll decrease your opponent's board presence at the same time which is the only thing you are doing besides reducing your opponent's life to 0. Also, peak eruption costs three so you're also mana screwing yourself for one turn.
OK, I give I'll replace with Searing Blood.
Since you're playing ferocious, Crater's Claws might be better than wild slash. Red doesn't need to hold mana open during an opponents turn, so the tap X might be a nice finisher.
I very well may consider 1 but I'm not sure I wanna cut Slash.
i really like this and looks fun to play! Do you mind putting some suggestions to this legacy melira pod deck im trying to make?http://www.mtgvault.com/gregorion/decks/help-make-legacy-pod/
Why Chandra, Pyromaster? Outpost Siege does basically the same thing, and Thunderbreak Regent is a more relevant 4-drop, even though personally I wouldn't have any four-drops at all. You want to be attacking with this deck and planeswalkers don't attack. If you're worried about blockers, use a few Goblin Heelcutters because creatures are better at killing the opponent than planeswalkers.
Chandra has actually been good but she has been a dead card as well. I guess I still just like playing cards I like.
You can also have more lightning berserkers, they are the only creatures that trade with big guys is you somehow can't draw into enough burn.
I put in 1 copy of Prophetic Flamespeaker, It's kinda janky but if the Become Immense resolves on him it's a game winner. As stated above I do like having 1 or 2 cards in the deck that are simply cards I like. Thanks for your feed back as direct as it may have been, it's appreciate.
I would honestly drop the searing blood and hall of triumph Mainboard for 2 more dragon fodder, having the ability to curve turn 1 foundry street or swiftspear into turn two dragon fodder just makes your early damage output insane, and then putting a rabble master or outburst in next turn just makes your command plan so much better. Spreading damage over more bodies is what this deck looks like it wants to do, and playing as many token producers as possible seems correct, at least from the testing I've been doing. :3
Thanks for the input I agree after playing today.
both searing blood and hall of triumph are good cards to keep though. I like main boarding 1 searing blood and would sideboard hall of triumph because it is awesome against any of the one-damage removal cards like scouring sands that your opponent would board in.
The only problem I have with searing blood is because when you face control you basically have a dead card in your deck that does literally nothing unless you two for one yourself. Conditional cards like searing blood are generally cards that should stay in the board.
However, RDW has a great matchup vs control decks though, so dead cards like wild slash and searing blood won't be much of a problem. Also, you're only going to have them in Game 1 of a match.
True, I just prefer to have cards that aren't situational in how good they are. This is what my testing with this deck has made: http://www.mtgvault.com/maumau17/decks/mono-red-standard/
Why isn't Eidolon of the Great Revel here?
Yeah that card is nuts, but you only sideboard it if anything, can be more of a detriment to your play if you are against a deck that can race faster than you. Amazing sideboard card in standard, but not the powerhouse it is in the other formats it is played in.
By the way, I'm also working on a Selesnya Aggro deck from RTR-Theros Standard that I want to revise for casual play. Let me know if you guys have any thoughts. Thanks!http://www.mtgvault.com/pyrwyrm/decks/help-casual-selesnya-aggro/
Kolaghan Forerunners could be nice.
Updated and revised since the rotation.
Came first tonight out of 14 players. Going 2/0 round one against a WB Aristocrat Ally deck, 2/0 against a Esper Control deck, Round three was 2/1 against Dark Jeskai and same in Round four 2/1against another Dark Jeskai deck. Tainted Remedy won me two match ups. HA! LOL.
Tainted remedy will win you the games that you want to bring it in for. I'm always impressed with it post-board in my burn/control deck.
Bloodsoaked champion is probably worth playing
I don't think so. I only have 1 black mana source so I would never really be able to cast it turn 1 or 2 reliably. As well I can't think of anything I would cut for that. The black is really only in here because I hate facing all the life gain going around. It really puts e back.
I mean with black I thinks it's worth adding more black sources and running bloodsoaked over zurgo. He's resilient and is not legendary, not a bad choice

I have taken ypour advise and it seems to be doing great I didn't cut Zurgo all together since I really like the dash mid game. All I need now is 1 or 2 Kolagan's Command for it to be "done" ( No deck of mine is ever actually done)
Any suggestions on hoe=w to fit 2 copies of Foul-Tongue Shriek into this build. Or is that dipping to heavily into the black pool?
I would not do it until we get the enemy battle lands from oath of the gatewatch, then I'd replace 4 mountains with those. ??
Kolagons command for tge side? Discard edict seems good vs the abzan decks?
I do really like the Kolagan's Commands and have been trying to trade for a few copies. I will e putting 2 in when I get them.
