Main Deck (60 cards)

Sideboard (0 cards)

No sideboard found.

The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

Deck Description

A idea I had with regards tokens. Only cards I have to use as we have 3 playing standard in one household.

Ideas gratefully accepted...

No sideboard as yet.

If you have any suggestions as to what should be added can you also say what you would take out and why.

Many thanks

Deck discussion for GWB tokens with life gain (T2)

Hey! :)

1st... The mana base is a disaster... U'll have just about everything enter tapped this way... Drop the Guildgate! U'll need to get Overgrown Tomb (x4)...
Use for example: 4 Chapel, 2 Sunpetal, 1 Woodland, 4 Temple, 4 Tomb, 1 Evolving Wilds, 2 Forest, 2 Plains, 2 Swamp & 1 Vault... That's 23...

Instead of Essence, use Entreat the Angels... Drop Primal Hunter & use 2 Relentless total...

Vraska is also quite good with Parallel Lives & populate, but it's better with unblockable stuff...

I'd use only 2 Trostani & add a 4th Midnight Haunting... It's very good, 'cuz U can sudden - block with those tokens & deal instand damage to attacking creatures... It's most effective with Intangible Virtue & Parallel Lives, so it's essential 4 U!..

I really like your deck tho... The concept is creative!..

Sideboards... Rootborn Defence (x4)!! It's amazing... A game vinner at times... U avoid mass removal & get an extra creature, or more by Parallel lives & strike in more next turn, than the opponent thought be4 U played it...

Use Rest in Peace (x4)... There R quite some very strong grave decks on FNM today & it's the best card to block tham off...

Sever the Bloodline (x3) against other token decks...

Abrupt Decay (x4)... Very useful & simply awesome! :)

Check out my Selesnya tokens at top decks (Parallel Population)!..

There R 3 other decks I'd use on FNM & I have to chose from among tham...

Here R the remaining 3... Just let me know wich would U pick!.. It would be helpful... :)

Thanks for the help.

As I said, we have 3 players in the house and one of us is already playing GB while another is playing UW. I can't see my way to a second set of Overgrown Tomb's plus a set of Abrupt Decay AND a set of Entreat the Angels. Budget restraints being what they are. Seriously, that is almost $260 for 12 cards. OK, GREAT cards, but still $260 I don't have.

I know it is a slow deck. Don't have to much choice at this point. So I have tried to make the most of what I have to work with. I think I did OK under the circumstances. The mana base is not as bad as it seems. I would much prefer to have a land come in tapped that gives me the color mana I need that have land come in of the wrong color... I suffer from getting mana screwed at the best of times and loose more games by not seeing the color I need than having land come into play tapped. This happens way to regular to be ignored. I think the mana gods hate me(or maybe it's a CIA plot). I don't know????

Anyway, with regards to which deck to use I would say your Grixis deck would work best at either of my locations. However, your location's metagame may be different to mine. Watch out for mono red aggro+burn decks. They will kill you more often than not. Maybe, with the card choices you have, you should think about a UW tempo deck instead. A good player, which I'm not, will win very regularly with that deck against nearly all comers. The hardest match would be a mirror match and what to side board.

Good luck!!!

Nice deck, pity it's no longer standard legal. How did it go when it was?
