Deck Description

While working in his underground lab, the mad planeswalker, Malignant, worked tirelessly to find a way to get vengeance. His island paradise was left in tatters and he was forced deep into the bowels of an abandoned swamp where he searched for a way to regain some of the lost ground. The swamps had been once a thriving city, but was laid to waste by drunken debauchery and wild antics and a few horrid monstrosities of his own creation, and now it has become the home to wretched vermin. Fitting that he was banished here.

As Malignant rummaged through the remains of tattered spell books he found the inspiration he was needing all around him. This, he thought would be the way. These foul critters scurrying around, this would be the last thing the other planeswalkers would expect. Revenge is at hand.

How to Play

rabid rats combined with sorin's thirst and echoing decay can take care of your opponent's creatures before combat even starts.

offer pestilence rats to the patron. if you get 4 lands in 4 rounds it will happen. patron makes the battlefield a tough place to be.

if you have 5 lands buy back lab rats, if you already have pestilence rats on the field, this can keep getting him bigger if you don't want to bother with patron.

Pack rats. Just get them out. Marrow Gnawer or slumlord makes it worse. If you have slumlord and the patron, things get fun. Sorin's thirst and crippling blight are good if you need them other wise discard for pack rat's ability.
